I believe so yes. However, I'm not sure it would apply to the degree she wants. I think it's for associates and bachelors degrees, I don't think it applies to masters degrees. My suggestion would be to do a bit of research to find out if her degree would qualify.

Haha I think that's why they have the program, it's not the most opportunity filled state. There are some jobs, I was able to get a job as an actuary at an insurance company with my degree in mathematics, but we're definitely not exactly rolling in opportunity here. My guess is that they're hoping that not only will

Awesome! That's great that you are doing everything you can to protect your kids. Not only is that helping the bad habit not affect them, but hopefully the responsibility and caring for others that you are showing by doing that will rub off on them too 😊

Yes I definitely agree that the same strategies are useful regardless 😊

I believe you are correct that you have to be a Maine resident while attending a Maine college, but most people live on or near campus while attending school, and so even if they are from out of state they would still end up qualifying for the credit if the stay in Maine after graduation. This would only be an issue

Most of these tips are very good, and I agree that it's important to take the angle of being supportive and showing benefits, not attacking them. This was quite a good article! But I think there's an important distinction to be made about your last point.

Maine has a similar program, encouraging college students to stay there. The Maine Credit for Educational Opportunity is a tax credit on your Maine state taxes if you went to college in Maine, got a degree, and now live and work in Maine.

Does Google Drive actually let you store small photos/short videos for free? I know small photos added to your Google+ photos don't count, and big ones use your storage. But as far as I know, if you have them directly in your Google Drive as .jpg files, they use your storage space even if they're small.

I hope the in the future, Toyota releases cars that support Android Auto and Mirror Link, but not Car Play. And then they can market it as supporting "all major mobile phones".

To anyone who has GAP and wishes they didn't, look into canceling it. I recently canceled mine. Mine cost me $600, and I was about halfway through my loan when I found out I could cancel it, so they gave me back about 300. I was surprised that they just took it as a simple linear value like that, because GAP insurance

This is my only real financial regret. I should not have purchased GAP insurance on my car (a new 2012 Corolla, that I bought in May of 2012). A couple months after I bought the car, I was looking at some documents and saw how much I paid for it and couldn't believe how stupid I was. Honestly, I should have brought my

I'm not sure. Honestly I don't know the details of how that stuff works, sorry.

I had considered looking for a charge only cable like that, since the issue is with my cars built in USB, and I suspect it's because with the data going through its limiting itself to 500mA.

I think most phones these days are more like 2.5 to 3 amp hour batteries. But it's my understanding that the phone will limit how much current it's actually accepting. So if it's a 3 amp hour battery, then per your equation it should charge with 1.5A. So if you plug in a 2A charger, it won't charge any faster than if

Yeah, your phone will likely charge faster. If it's too much for your phone to handle, then your phone will limit how much energy it actually let's in. So your phone might not actually "use" the full 2A, but it won't hurt anything.

I was having some issues getting my phone to charge in my car and was hoping there was a way to see the output from the charger. This is perfect, thanks!

Your charger should be marked with the output it's supposed to have. Chargers that came with a phone you'll likely see somewhere from 500 to 1000mA, ones that came with a tablet could be as high as 2000mA.

Although it's true that the season gives us more natural light in the mornings... Daylight saving time makes us lose an hour of light in the morning. Sure eventually the lengthening day will cancel it out, but for the next few weeks we will have far less light in the morning then we have had for the last few weeks.

Agreed. My parents never mentioned anything about money to me and my siblings. I'm pretty good with math and numbers, so I've been able to handle basic budgeting. But if it weren't the Internet, I would be in a much worse financial situation than I am. Doesn't matter how "smart" I am, if no one ever tells me what a

Yes the video is silly, but I'm not trying to make fun of anyone here. I'm 24 and my hair is so thin it makes me look like I'm 50. So I buzzed it all off and I look way better now. This is one of those things that the more you fight it, the worse the problem becomes. So my advice is to just embrace it, follow the easy
