I had noticed mine was lasting longer, but I assumed it was just because now that I've had it for a bit I was fiddling with it less during the day. It's good to know that it does actually last longer! Maybe I'll try turning on ambient mode too!

I think my favorite part of your list, is that people are replying with serious counter arguments to your first point. I guess some people don't understand the concept of these crazy things called "jokes"

A lot of people talk about how they "just work" and Android is "hard". Android works a lot better than it used to, and all you have to do is look at the iOS 8.0.1 update a couple days ago to see that Apple isn't flawless either. (not saying Android works more reliably than iOS now, just saying that argument isn't as

People. It's all about the people in your life. I guarantee there is someone, somewhere that cares about you. I ended up reconnecting with some friends from college that I hadn't seen much in the last couple years, and those friendships are what gave me the strength to keep going and move forward with my life. Having

Haha I know that feel. We still have to wait like a whole month... I'm impatiant, I want to know about the Nexus now, even though I won't be upgrading tuntil December lol

Yeah I'll be choosing between the new Nexus and the Moto X, I love the Moto X too. If the new Nexus isn't on verizon, that of course makes the choice easy, but I'd rather get to make the choice myself.

Makes sense, Verizon definitely does like it's crapware. They even blocked Google Wallet at first on Verizon android phones so they could push their silly wallet app.

You're definitely right that comparison of raw numbers on the specs is pretty meaningless, like the dual core processor that on paper sounds pathetic compared to a lot of Android phones, even though in practice it's actually a great processor.

Earlier I was literally thinking "it would be nice if I could swipe sideways from the watch face to get to a list of apps". I will be giving Mini Launcher a try!

That's partly because of what Apple's done, and partly because of what everyone else hasn't. But mostly it's because the iPhone 6 is the single best smartphone you can buy.

Sorry, didn't mean for my comment to be a reply to yours. Don't know how to delete it, can only edit it.

What makes you so sure there will never be another one? I know the last couple haven't been, but before that they were.

They did? What was the last nexus on Verizon, was that the Galaxy Nexus? That was back when I was much less informed about these sorts of things, how did they mess it up?

32 would be enough for me, though I'd definitely rather have 64 (or 32 with an SD slot). Just please not 16, that's just stupid.

I've only had mine a few days now, but my battery life has been a bit worse than yours. I'm happy with ambient mode off, and if I got the 24+ hours you said I'd be happy, I really don't mind charging every night. But I'm getting more like 15, which means is short enough that on a long day it could die before I'm going

I use Google Wallet and like the convenience of tap and pay. I still can't use it very often, as most stores in my area can't accept that kind of payment, but my favorite part about using it is the reaction I always get from the cashier, and sometimes people behind me in line too. A lot of people still don't know that

The main reason the Xbox controllers are the best: the joystick locations. Generally the USB controllers I see for PC have the same awful layout as the Playstation controllers. But your left thumb is on the joystick like 95% of the time, so that left joystick should be up in the more comfortable spot, with the d-pad

That's interesting point. From my perspective, where Apple really shines is when they do do things first (or first-ish). Such as smartphones. Blackberries already existed I suppose, but the original iPhone was amazing at the time. I'm very much an Android fan, and I dislike Apple quite a bit, but I can't deny that the

Fun game: Get the new Moto X and set your key phrase as "Hey Siri"

It's too bad all the carriers are being forced to add this. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice feature, but the issue here is opportunity cost. All that time put into setting up and rolling out Wi-Fi calling, is time that's not put into developing other things. Normally, Verizon would get to decide which things are the
