@stre: I'm with you on this one. Several of the apps I have won't even run on a 3G. Meanspirit saying the benefit is marginal at best must only make calls and send texts, because the average iPhone user is a different breed of phone user. My buddy finally upgraded a couple weeks ago and he told me he wished he would…
@Islandkiwi: The multitask tray trick does not work for every program and Crackle is a perfect example or Latitude, etc. Go into Settings and fourth tab down is Location services. You can manually configure settings for each app. For me it works better than SBSettings cause I want certain apps to have location data.…
@brijazz: Using Chronus works great. Yeah you have to SSH in and save the "Time Machine" folder to your desktop and then SSH it back in after fresh restore, but I just did it the other day and saved a ton of time. When you have to do a fresh install if your restore is corrupted or a little buggy as mine was, this is…
Just installed FakeLocation and it might not be 4.2.1 compatible as I'm stuck in Safe Mode now. Uninstalled and still having a problem. Running Crash Reporter now to weed out all of the problem.
I'm an ass man too lol. But seriously, looks like a pretty solid release. Why didn't they show this at CES? Or maybe I missed something.
Great post thanks for clarifying all that. Thinking about trying to develop an idea I had and this answered everything.
I don't have an iPad so I don't keep up as much on that (SHAtter is closed). And yes thank you for clarifying. From what I've seen, either comex or i0n1c will hold off until 4.3.1. So maybe two to three weeks? Just a guess based on Apple release cycles for the x.x.1 "bug fix" updates.

Yes but not publicly available yet, it's being developed. i0n1c claims to have found an exploit and successfully performed untethered jailbreak. Pwnge tool can jb 4.3 GM (and thus should theoretically work on official 4.3) so you could try that route. There's a debate over wether or not mobile substrate is stable tho…
The image isn't uploading, but I got 2654 Kb/s up and 1269 down. Pretty snappy! (I do live in a city that gets great coverage and data speeds on AT&T tho)
Actually really fast. Just ran this test on Macbook Pro running SL to iPhone 4 on iOS 4.2.1 AT&T. Faster and safer than most free wi-fi!
Uh if she is sending it to your phone the Email and MMS settings are right there in the native photo app. To both of you tho, there is a jailbreak add on called iSocial Share to allows uploading to Twitter and Facebook from within Photos app.
*yawn* I've been using my iPhone 3G and now 4 as a hotspot for some time. JB is the only way to go.
I talked to an AT&T rep earlier and she had not heard of this deal. She was aware of other text offers in the past including the last promo that went out to Uverse customers via text. Now I'm not saying she knows everything that goes on at AT&T, but I would be wary of this. Especially those texting yes to the number…
This new site layout is horrible... Esp that ad that stays on the home page for 10-15 seconds before you can see the story or two it's covering. Looks like I'll be doing most of my reading from my iPhone on Reeder. And forget commenting in this new system. Ugh:( Giz why????
Was going to put my iPhone 4 up on eBay if this was $300-400. I'll pass for now esp with the data add on. Maybe when I'm due for my upgrade in the fall I'll check back on this combo and see if Moto and AT&T have switched gears.
In all my scurrying at times on this site for the latest news on the iPhone, advances in Graphene technology, or what's new with Android etc., I truly appreciate these kinds of articles and associated photos. They cause me to slow down for a moment and appreciate things outside my box. Thanks Giz and keep up the great…
@Software_Goddess: Wasn't it Coke? Anywho the Gods still must be crazy...
@joshl: I've never used the Nike+ GPS just the Nike+ with sensor for indoor runs. I'll try out the GPS app this afternoon. Thanks!
