@Live N Learn: Sure, though it has always happened, not just with these sites.

@Live N Learn: I believe there's ammemory leak in Firefox, I have 10 tabs open right now and it's using 590MB. But if I restart FF with the same tabs.... It's now using about 168MB.

I don't know that I would a want this. Firefox already takes up like a gig of ram.

Having a keyboard doesn't make it a laptop or a netbook.

@snubz: Of course iPi Soft already does mocap with PS3 Eye cameras but you need a few and the software is pretty expensive on top of that.

@espinha: I heard the same thing.

The only reason I'm excited for this thing is that I'm sure someone will hack it into a home mocap system. The minute that happens I'm hitting the store.

@Chelsea Otakan: Ride a bike in the middle of a snowstorm? No thanks.

@Platypus Man: A phone wouldn't automatically move forward as you ride, that's kind of the point in this thing.

@ImmaLion: They can't really do anything about the smoothness, that's just the way Street View works.

I'd rather stick the the PS3 controller design I've loved for all these years.

@Cromwell: Sure, the first place is of course the official site. There's well over 24 hours of good free training.

@Cromwell: That's one of the great things about LightWave, one of the best out-of-the-box packages out there for under $1000 (under $500 for upgrades) there's no membership or anything you're required to sign up for, you're not required to buy every update so you can skip one or more more if you need to, not to

@Cromwell: Unfortunately it's not always about working at a studio who can buy you anything you need. If you're a freelancer you often have to use what the majority of the clients will also use. For example one client needed me to work on a character that would be used by the other artists in max. I don't use max

@m9105826: 3Ds max is no where near my comfort zone, same goes for maya, but I'd use either of them over blender any day.

@das7002: Sorry it's not just "someone like me". Browse any CG forum and you'll find a LOT of people who feel exactly the same.

@m9105826: You shouldn't have to rearrange things and work at it to make it work properly. It should already have a good workflow from the start.

@m9105826: Sorry I find that highly unlikely at least until they fix the UI they started working on with 2.5. I've got 2.53 running in front of me now and it still needs major work. I've been using LightWave professionally for 8 years and still have yet to find a faster modeler.

@das7002: Oh it definitely has some nice features, but it needs to get that UI fixed so it has a reasonable workflow. I'm not the only one who hates the current UI almost as much as the last one.

@TheNexxuvas: That covers video, but what about the audio? Also can you post where you've seen them for $2?
