Doesn't leaving it wrapped up like that and plugging it in make the cord into an electrical coil which may change the voltage and harm the device or charger?
Maybe they have done something like using a line lock that "only" applies brakes to the front tires, which frees up some power to the rear wheels (that would otherwise be used to overcome the rear brakes) and cuts down on rear brake pad wear?
