Yeah. They named it the R1200GS.

In a normally-constructed home, that exterior wall should already be top-to-bottom with fiberglass insulation. Is there that much settling in the fiberglass batting where blowing in additional insulation on top of that would make a difference??

I have a home with 100% electric baseboard heating (built back in the 70s and the neighborhood opted out of natural gas service). Our utility company has a rate plan for homes with all-electric heating that has somewhat of a discount on the base electricity rate, but with a “peak demand” surcharge ($X.XX *

That Dell C1760NW is a heck of a deal for $75 (apparently out of stock now, but still). My only complaint on it is that it’s not equipped for Google Cloud Print, so my phones and Chromebook’s printing abilities rely on an old laptop in my basement being alive and active 24/7.

What I appreciate about Dr. Seuss is that you don’t have to *think*about the mere out rhyme scheme - read it like prose and don’t pause at line breaks and it comes out just fine.

Today’s 250 and 300cc bikes are actually quite decent on power compared to, say, a single 650cc thumper from the 90s if you understand that you need to stay pretty far up in the rev band to find the power.

I have these. They’re decent (but remember light goes UP, too), but the very similar “Dusk” models are also cheaper at Bed Bath & Beyond ($28 for the 48-88") and much cheaper at Target (see other links in comments) (and the Twilight model here is the same price at BB&B).

Exactly why I try NEVER to drive next to a semi truck for longer than it takes to pass it quickly.

You’d think that’d be an obvious change, but a while ago I read an article that suggested that was actually part of the Scammer Grand Plan - you’re looking for a total rube, a mark with “sucker” written all over him, the kind of guy who’d completely overlook the gratuitous copy-paste of his entire CL listing title

These little shop vacuums are great. Small enough to easily carry around the garage or into the house, great for cleaning out the car, still big enough to get the job done (with a little patience).

Buying a home is like buying a camping tent: take whatever capacity it says on the label and subtract one to get reality.

Yawn.

Still kind of pricey just to try the standing desk idea out.

These don’t appear to block the second jack on the outlet like a number of others do.

It is a BMW after all...

I’ll disagree with that. In my town, the police department likes nothing more than to camp unmarked SUVs on the side streets T-ing into a main drag that they know people speed on (a certain stretch of 4-lane that’s marked down to a hard 30mph because of a curve comes to mind).

Yup. Both of mine do as well. Keeps one of them in a known location and away from excitingly grabbable items on store shelves with minimal effort.
