Thank you!

What car is this with the all-lowercase lettering and the dots between the “reverse neutral drive second first?” The font looks much newer (70s?) than the font on the “park” handle. I love it!

Forgive me, I wasn’t more clear. I thought maybe perhaps if he was involved with her disappearance, he said he was her father to her as some kind of brainwashing thing. Not that he said that during the press coverage.

I took when she said “the man calling himself my father” to reference Kindt, the DA that took the mic after Tom stepped down, and we were just supposed to think she meant Tom. But now I don’t know anymore.

I’m in the VW Prototype group, too! Yay!

Dumb question I know, please forgive me.

I’ve passed the sign, and I believe it’s a post 5-mph bumpered Vega- like a ‘74 or something.

Oh my God, I’m so glad my (redacted) infatuation with (redacted) didn’t make the list due to my awkward flirtation toward Ms. Lee. I really am sorry about that (redacted, redacted, redacted) thing

ugh, can’t post photo, nvm

LOL- I think that was the exact reasoning behind that explanation. It may not be true, but it does make some sense.

Forgive me, I thought the reason VW didn’t want to allow Bumblebee to be a Beetle was they didn’t want their car affiliated with a war/military film?

Wait, you can do this? Like, when an automaker is finished with the stamps and designs and stuff, you can just... buy them?

It’s a tragedy this isn’t at the very top as far as votes. Most of its length is designated for hauling truck stuff, including over the engine, and the space for people is pushed all the way to the front for maximum truckness. Drop-down sides for easy loading/unloading, and even a hidey-space for treasure! Combine

I had no idea this even existed; I’d always seen the retractable top car version and thought the extensive rear end ruined the lines. This... this is *perfect.*

Regarding the need for a truck but also enjoys twisties, the first thing I thought of was a Syclone. But I’ve never turned a wheel in one so this is pure speculation, but how are they on a twisty road?

Holy crow, where did you find that?!

Hi Jason; I agree 100%, but do you think you could please use your Jalopnik clout to get a better shot of that visor sleeve? I’ve never seen one either, even a picture of one, and I’d love to know what the “Seven Mysteries Of The VW” are!

Daggone it; those vents under the Samara are familiar to me, too, and I can’t place them. At first I thought maybe a Suzuki Samurai, but they have horizontal vents instead of vertical ones.

The whole Jalop brown/wagon/manual stuff aside, that is simply a beautiful Squareback, sir. :)

I think I got kinja’d. But it’s a Doka VW Syncro
