I remember reading this one around the time the Berlin Wall came down...

Thank you, sir!

I agree with your reasoning and placement (as well as those who say they belong in the drivers’ mouths, throat, or in a trash can), however I’ll play devil’s advocate; they could go on the firewall.

Easy to understand what happened here.

Also, I just now got that “he should be grilled” joke. Well done. :)

I’m pretty sure it’s a replica. It looks plastic (droop dogg in the middle), a little small, and around the headlights look like solid silver plastic instead of the die-cast(?) headlight surround on the real car.

News link says he was already on a suspended license. I’m not going to wish harm on the kid. But I’m not wishing him well, either.

Hello, fellow Jalops! I’d like to ask you your opinions...

Now... when you say “every kid,” is this some kind of Transformers Gen 1 Ironhide-type reference? Because if I recall correctly (because I won’t admit that this information is 100% fact in my adult brain... I’ve totally grown out of my kid brain, what are you talking about? Adults don’t remember these kinds of

I have a question... VW wants to go toward electrification. They’ve got all these cheating diesels they’re buying back, right? Why not offer to return the cars to their owners with an electric drivetrain? It could be a cool way for VW to test the waters, get some good PR, and possibly make people like Volkswagen

In most cases, I’d say they’re more of a heart-tease. However, in the case of the Elmiraj and the Ciel, I believe that body part is being teased as well.

That’s what I’m saying- I think the Escalade is gorgeous! My issue is Cadillac won’t make a, forgive me, it’s been a long day- but an Escalade-like car, with those same sharp edges, clean lines, tall LEDs, etc. For instance, the CT6... it’s okay, but imagine if the tight, lean, crispness of the Escalade was translated

Agreed; but I’d argue that’s because it’s big, cleanly styled, and technically, fairly traditional. I can’t understand why Cadillac can’t/won’t apply these principles to a car. Their stylists can do it; we’ve seen the evidence of this time after time.

*rolls eyes*

Jason, I’ve gotten the same type of thing from the same type of people you’re talking about. Even Jewish people have asked me if I’m Jewish, usually while I’m face-deep in a pulled pork sandwich. Kind of a, “Are you sure you should be eating that?” But, to my “no, sorry, I’m just a mutt” mind, cars are wonderful

I can’t speak for Jalopnik at large, but I find this Packard to be an absolutely spectacular car, and sincerely hope it’s repaired to a standard befitting it. And versus a Miata, a VW or a Jeep? Absolutely no contest. I’d take this Packard in a heartbeat. And I own a Beetle. :)

It’s an illusion, Michael.

Thank you, Mr. R. Since you only have the one star to give, I shall give you another. :)

What? Did someone make that same joke? If so, I’m sorry.
