Well, the Cowboys would have only had to go about 60-65 yards to likely tie. Not easy, granted, and for all I know going for it may have improved odds, but still. The FG did add 30-40 yards to whatever drive the Cowboys needed to prolong/win the game.

That is the face of a man who is staring unemployment in the face. It is also the face of a man who finds auto-play videos on Deadspin.

Battery. People, please learn the distinction.

I’m growing more and more uncomfortable with the seemingly increasing progressive notion that people’s backgrounds must be fully delved into and punishment doled out for things they did years and years ago, retroactive, permanent punishment. It strikes me as so anti-liberal.

That TV station was playing Travis for a seersucker.

I’m glad someone bespoke up for him.

“Let’s take a rookie to get a makeover” is not journalism. Fuck you, pay him.

Welcome to every sport, every year.

Yeah, if a woman has anal sex it’s because she’s giving in to a man’s whims, not possibly because she enjoys being sexually adventurous, amirite?

“didn’t think much of it” = didn’t do my research and didn’t know about it until just now.

Aka, whoops just found out that this guy exists!

1) Michigan beat Penn State last year. I know, shocking, but it really did happen!

Seems odd to suggest that the likely starter is just filler tbh

He’s not a filler and considering he played fof Ferentzball Iowa last year his numbers are pretty decent. He will most likely start. I guess that’s filler to you.

“guys I totally knew about the presumed starter, a top-half Big Ten QB, but decided not to mention him whatsoever in my lengthy QB discussion because reasons.” Well, I for one believe you! I look forward to the next 16 football previews in which you similarly don't mention the starting quarterback.

Congratulations lazy Deadspin writer! You’ve managed to write a Michigan preview without doing enough basic research to realize that they have Jake Rudock, last year’s starting QB at Iowa, on their roster. He’s not going to light it up, but he’s not going to turn it over either.

Impressed you managed to write a whole preview while apparently having no idea that their likely starting QB is Jake Rudock, who definitely has thrown upwards of multiple touchdowns.

Reviewing RB’s without mentioning the likely starter (a 5-star transfer) is sloppy. Not mentioning the likely QB starter Rudock has more starts under his belt than most Big Ten QB’s and has thrown 35 TDs, but saying zero TDs in the books for any QB, is just bizarre.

I’m an admittedly biased UM grad, so I will give in to the incredibly obvious stereotype and assume that, as a State grad, you are not very good at reading.
