@Liberace: The story isn't sensationalist. But not providing the proper context for the quotes is. If you read the deadspin post alone, the obvious takeaway is that Ben is currently disliked in the locker room. If you read the article, it's clear that there was dissatisfaction with his leadership after the first

Not to get all serious, but the linked article talks about issues in the Steelers locker room from four years ago, which had apparently been resolved. This post makes it seem like these were all recent events.

@StevePhillipsBeerGoggles: When the boat slowed down, for some reason he would only answer to his middle name, "Bob".

What a selfless guy. Confined to a wheelchair, yet has helped countless others stand at attention.

It sounds like WWOC and his "high school friends" were no longer in high school when the story took place. Depending on their age, the story is either highly amusing or very, very, disturbing.

Whenever the Tebow hate starts rising, just remember that, without him, we never would have been introduced to Erin Drewes, aka "Tebow's girlfriend".

@desperatehours: I think Ratner was losing a ton of money on this (it's been a financial disaster for him, which is why he had to sell to our new Russian overlord) and just could no longer afford Gehry in any way, much less to go back to the drawing board.

@Temo1: So you're the other one. We should carpool to the games in two years, maybe stop at Bark in Park Slope for a hot dog first.

@CJ's Ranch of Death: I love when people cry "judicial activism" when the Court strikes down state actions, then blame the Court when it doesn't strike down state actions.

@desperatehours: Just to set the record straight, Frank Gehry was released from the project because escalating costs and delay, largely from the litigation, led to the project having to be scaled down immensely, etc. Not because Ratner wasn't satisfied with his work — it was just no longer economically tenable.

Some (not all) people in Coney Island were outraged and fought passionately when the Mets wanted to build a minor league stadium in Coney Island. After years of battling, the stadium was built. Now it's pretty much indisputed that the Brooklyn Cyclones are the best thing that has happened to the area in a long, long

@FavreFAIL: But she won't get married until gays can marry! So that makes it charming when she uses slurs that she would rip someone else apart for using! Similarly, I'm in favor of affirmative action, so it's ok for me to jokingly call someone a n . . .

@I Party With Smoot: Are you kidding me? School of Rock was awesome. Even if not your cup of tea, certainly nothing that needs to be apologized for.

You were on Entourage early in its run . . . do you now agree that the show is an epic pile of shit, and regret gracing it with your presence?

Sheriff Andy and Aunt Bee are very upset. No butterscotch pecan pie for Opie tonight.

@ConsensualSets: What does MGMT's latest CD have to do with this?

Wait, Bill Houston does realize that he writes on the internet now, doesn't he? Wouldn't that make him one of said "basement friends"?

you are an idiot.

I've always said that New Jersey legislators have the highest ethical standards.

@RickMybars: He cheated on his wife many many items.
