$9 pizza isn't a bad if it's fancyish pizza

Really? XS is for someone who weighs 110 lb at 4'11"? That sounds more like a S to me. Most tights/stockings brands start at 90 or 95 lb - especially European brands.

What LarissaFae said. Also, were you bothered by Jeffrey addressing Will and Carlton as "Master William" and "Master Carlton" on Fresh Prince (that was the other place I heard the term used. And Jeffrey continued to use that after Will and Carlton graduated from high school, too)

I heard that the French tried using Madelle (their equivalent to Ms.) at one point, but it never caught on. Dunno why. Personally, I use Mrs. for social purposes (Miss before I married) and Ms. in a professional setting. I continue to use Miss for girls under 18 and actually find it weird when media use Ms. on a

Heh.. happened to me once while shopping at Sephora. A staff member accidently bumps into me and tells me that she "didn't see me" because I was "so tiny." This woman wasn't exactly over 6', maybe 5'6", tops. I'm about 5'2".

I thought 33"-34" was the standard now. In my experience, petite=30"-32" (I get 30" being petite - I wear 30", but 32"? Not so much) and regular = 33" or 34". Tall is 36 to 38. Gap/Banana do it (Banana's "tall" jeans are 37") and I'm pretty sure Joe's does too.

I think the problem is that we're looking at each woman in profile. If they're proportionate in terms of bust-waist-hips, it's harder to determine size differences. One of them could be a 10 and another could be a 4 or 6 for all we know. It's just that none of them have, say, a larger waist in proportion to their

OK, what's the diff between this and some white dress I can pick up at H&M for like $50? If I wanted whim, I'd do that.

Would it be cheaper than Office for Mac or would it be like $280?

Many of the petite blogs I read LOOOOOVE H&M. They feel that it's the only brand WITHOUT PETITE SIZING that fits them with or without minimal alterations. But what can we say? Most of us are smaller framed.

Because I'm dark for Chinese, I get "are you Filipina?" questions from people all the time. Because it actually comes from people of Philippine descent, it isn't bad. If it comes from someone who is say, Chinese, it really mean "are you a nanny?"

Err, Rosie the Riveter is a WWII icon, not WWI, when Downton Abbey takes place. T-shirt is also out of place... #justsayin

Yeah, even in China, you're going to get a wide variety of different "looks." I mean, people don't think I'm full Chinese. I get A LOT of people wondering if I'm Filipina (many Filipinos are some sort of mix, anyway)!

For many, it's not the men themselves, but their parents and elder members of the family who expect you to understand the culture, just because you're from that culture. It's really an issue when the guy is also from the same ethnic group.

If it's all about motherhood, then one can say the same about any line of work. Besides, we also need to make it easier for men to be with family as well. It isn't all about Mom. Dads should be involved too.

You mean the Sephora house brand? Benefit and Nars are on the list and both lines are available at Sephora. Sephora is owned by LVMH (Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy).

Or maybe mock the industry itself. I got into a huge argument with another blogger once because she doesn't like models who have a bounce to their walk nor does she like smiles - prevents from fully appreciating the clothes. I, on the other hand, miss the old supermodel days when models had attitude. By hiding

You know what? Marc Jacobs is a prick (and one with an attitude) - most designers would apologize about the underage models thing (and Marc, catalog modelling ain't the same thing as NYFW modelling). And only HE can get away with that major-crazy production that he had last night, both with clothes and the way it

Yeah, but Hong Kong can be pretty racist too, yet lots of people have help.

Question: Is hiring a nanny not common in Japan (as it is in other parts of Asia - having full time, live-in help is very, very common in middle and upper middle class homes in Hong Kong. This allows women to leave their kids during the day to go to the office)?
