Re white: My wedding day was Day 1 of my period. Luckily, no stains.

So true.

I could never understand the weight thing. Shouldn't it be about measurements? Weight gain doesn't always mean a change in measurements/proportions after all.

Wasn't she nominated for Best SUPPORTING Actress? Isn't that a career-killer?

I wonder if you took the story out of the early 1960s South and placed it in a different country and setting, whether there'd be a similar reaction. For example, if the story took place in modern day Hong Kong, but replacing the white characters with Chinese and black, with Filipino...

I haven't read the Carrie Diaries books, but do they mess up the main characters' ages? Samantha is some 7-10 years older than the other women, so she should be 7-10 years older in the prequel as well. If the three younger girls are supposed to be, say 18, then Samantha should be in her mid to late 20s. And a

Then maybe the school should be calling it Hip Hop Video Day or Hip Hop Gear Day.... sounds less offensive, yet everyone knows what it means.

I prefer the Sesame Street crayon factory, but that's just me.

Wasn't King Friday, King Friday XIII? Umm, yeah, scary is right.

So I guess Prince Tuesday has a kid too? I wonder if the kid is some sort of "day" - maybe Princess Monday? LOLOL

Asia is notorious about dress sizes (and looks). My mom is about a US size 8 but was once told by a salesclerk at a Hong Kong department store that she was "lucky" because 8 was the largest the store carried.

You know, I don't get the whole "tall people have longer legs" thing. To me, leg length is all about how proportionate you are, so you can be tall and have short legs relative to your height, just as you can be short and have relatively long legs for your height. If a 6' woman is proportionate, her torso AND legs

You might not consider yourself petite, but by definition, you are. Most petite brands say that they are for 5'4" (or 5'3", depending on brand) and below, regardless of size. I have heard of brands that carry size 24 (US) petite - and I don't mean waist size.

I think for a lot of women, the "perfect" height is about 5'7". You're still "average", but a bit on the taller side. You can still wear heels. For guys, it's about 6'.

Proportions? I'm about 5'2", but a lot of people think I'm taller, especially if they've only seen me in photos - most think I'm 5'4".

"Cute" and "adorable" on us short gals is not a compliment (at least not to me). I find it insulting that at 31, going on 32 next month, that I am being compared to children and pets when describing my physical appearance. Besides, the fashion industry ADORES taller women. Taller women are referred to as

Since I don't date women, it's not my place to say anything.

I'm not single anymore, so it doesn't matter, but if I were, I wouldn't consider ANY of those guys.

I have issues with unmarried guys over a certain age as well. When I was 26, my parents' friends, who didn't know I was seeing someone, tried to set me up with their friend's son - a 37 year old doctor who apparently hadn't seriously gone out with anyone since he was in medical school (or even an undergrad). To me,

It's more like why are Pixar movies so sad? I cried watching Up, Toy Story 2 (the "When She Loved Me" scene), Toy Story 3 and even WALL-E.
