What about professional pictures? I mean, shouldn't wedding pictures done by professional photogs have to carry warnings, too? Every wedding uses Photoshop or something like it.

So is the teacher teaching GIRLS etiquette? Because they need it too.

You know what's interesting? There are countries who've entered women's hockey teams, but no guys. China, for example (but then again, there are no guys from China in the NHL. Heck, I think there have only been one or two people of East Asian descent in the NHL, PERIOD.)

To many people (especially non-whites in high lux goods consuming countries), having models that "look like them" in terms of ethnicity is a "good-to-have" and not a "need-to0-have." It's only in western countries that we're into the whole "let's have the runway represent us" POV. I think there are people in the

@Oneirix: The Spanx don't really work on super-thin models. Spanx (and most other body shapers) starts at a small, which is for a 26 1/2" waist. Would it really help someone with a 23" waist?

@MotherChucker: She's nice? Really? She gave me the vibe that she was kind of snobby.

Apparently this is happening:

With the exception of #4 and [jezebel.com] the line just looks AWFUL. However, I'm glad that plus sized models are being used for something other than mass-produced catalog brands (Project Runway Canada contestant, Jessica Biffi is going to be showing a collection of plus sized clothing at LG (Toronto) Fashion Week in

@Rosaxé: That too, but in the mean time...

@marciax3: I would say that people who can afford luxury goods is actually more ethnically diverse than many people here at Jez think. Middle Eastern and East Asian women are huge consumers too. I think people abroad care less about diversity than people here.

I think they should start putting actresses on the runway. While most are still rather thin, they tend to look less sickly than most models.

They say that we aren't aggressive/assert enough and don't negotiate, which is why we make less. However, if we DO do that, we're seen as being bitchy, while a guy is only an asshole if he does something bordering on illegal.

@elsbels: That's what I thought. Their real-life ages aren't really that cougarish. How old was Mrs. Robinsom SUPPOSED to be? 40? Benjamin was 21-22, right?

Now playing

I think many designers just forget how to translate clothes from short actress/singer to tall model. But that's just how *I* feel (as evidenced in my vid.

What's interesting is that Ann Bancroft was still quite young when she made the movie...I think she was around 37 or 38? Under 40 for sure. It's really interesting that she was playing a "Cougar" role. Cougar roles today would more likely be offered to someone ~45ish.

Hey, I'm TINY and often find flights uncomfortable!

While this kid should probably be raised Jewish, it's important for her to be exposed to other faiths as well. You don't want her to grow up ignorant. Besides Catholicism, she should be exposed to Islam, Buddhism, Wiccan, etc, etc....We need to raise well-rounded, well-polished and sophisticated children. We don't

The women who aren't getting any are probably too busy/exhausted to do so. Many 35 year old women I know have one or two kids under 8 and they tell me it's a tough job to manage them, their OWN job and the house. And that's even when the husband helps out.

@franimaljones: Yeah, but if these designers make clothes for tiny actresses, why are their pants so long? I have 5'7" friends who say that they can't wear some pants without heels. And these are girls who're proportional, not short-legged.
