As someone who has spent more of his life in Spain than anywhere else, I assure you that Europeans are just as bad in geography and capability to recognize cultural distinctions outside their immediate environs. It’s not an “American” thing (assuming we mean USA and not all countries on the continent- or continents,

That's true, but then he said, "The jury found no findings."

"I bet his boss had some sort of character flaw, like Alzheimers or something."

I'm a socio of Real Madrid, so I hate those gunners just as much. And today I'm hating Juventus. But it's going to be fun in the Bernabéu next week.

I did econ (and also international relations) at a top undergrad progam and then went to law school. Both were really great experiences, but quite different. What I loved about law school was how diverse everyone's background was. You could talk about the Great Vowel Shift with someone and then gas chromatagraphs with

"Like was I the London Whale? No. Far from it. I go long on corn and soy and then seed clouds for hail!"

You misspelled “introspection”.

Or be friends with you on Facebook.

I see you make it a point to make other people make it a point to learn the basics as well. I don't do that with people who don't know much about Spanish food (whether it be espetos from Málaga or calçots from Lleida). I find "setting people straight" isn't a particularly good educational method.

Not only is he a nobody, he’s a troglodytic, inflammatory, egocentric nobody who reviles someone who he perceives as “making it about them”, but then tells us some “bitch” wouldn’t make it about them. Self-awareness is important. If you don’t have it, you spend your days

I don’t follow baseball, but that’s an interesting point. Given the seemingly institutional level of cheating, does it even matter whether the Yankees had actual knowledge of cheating? Seems like constructive knowledge should count, whether or not it does legally (am a lawyer, but not a sports lawyer).

Unjust enrichment.

I never knew he was Frank Easterbrook's brother. Wow.

And 2014 A-Rod.

John’s clearly the catcher in the fictitious scenario Jim creates in which there’s “2 on, 2 out”.

Anyone know where the Ann Arbor strip mall they filmed at is? I thought it might be something out toward Ypsi on Packard, but it's not.

Totally agree. Only in the past two months can you get bagels at some grocery stores here in Madrid. A decade ago there were like, maybe, two Mexican restaurants. Try finding pastrami. I love Spanish food. Absolutely love it. But sometimes a Subway BMT is a substitute for something there's no way of you getting.

Yeah, it's almost like, you know, they're pickled and not cut up fresh. They're literally the only place in the world to use pickled jalapeños as an ingredient. Oh, waith, that's totally not true.

You have to order the foie a year in advance, but it's worth it in my opinion.
