Last year we bought a ‘22 Chevy Bolt EV, and liked it so much that earlier this year we replaced it with a ‘23 Chevy Bolt EUV. To me, the biggest mistake Chevy is making is cancelling the Bolt and pushing all customers up to the Blazer EV (which starts at $49K).

I’ve visited Florida Disney a few times. My last visit (November ‘22) was the first time I felt like I was being ripped off.
I mean...I always KNEW I was being ripped off, it just never felt like it before.

What about a fedora? The Untouchables was really good.

I see Lightnings and Rivians (if you exclude the R1S) with about the same frequency as each other, maybe slight favor to the Lightning. I’ve seen two Hummer pick-ups and one Hummer SUV. I haven’t seen a Cybertruck or Silverado EV yet.

And heck, I think it has more to do with the fact that the Cybertruck had 5 years worth of order backlog they can blow through, whereas Rivian is just selling their vehicles in the relatively conventional way.

None of which were warehoused in North America, meaning that anything not covered under warranty was prohibitively expensive for a Saturn because they all had to be shipped from Europe as a special order. Believe it or not, I did not buy a Saturn because I was flush with cash at the time. 

I’ve seen more of the Chevy’s than Cybertrucks. By that I mean 2 vs 1 lol.

Yeah but at least with the Astra, you could still get parts from Opel. 

I am in this same boat 100%. If I were to be forced to buy an EV, it would be a Rivian with little other thought, but I also don’t know if I truly believe the company will still exist in 10 years. I bought a Saturn Astra in 2009, I’m not going through that again. 

I don’t know I seem more Rivians where I live than any of the other electric.  I have seen probably 3 or 4 Rivians, but only a single Ford Lightning.

It’s a little unfair to compare those since the Tesla has 8 years of reservations built up that they are finally starting to deliver on. The number of new reservations is literally just the number of them they were actually able to build in that time. I would imagine these level out a bit more over time.

Yeah I’ve seen at least a dozen Rivians around town but I’ve yet to see the Cybertruck (though it has been spotted on the city’s subreddit)

The R1T still seems like the best e-truck offering to me.  I’m just somewhat scared at the long-term viability of the company, but I get the feeling that if things got bad enough for Rivian, they’d likely be scooped up by a more major brand.  Hopefully that’d mean long-term support, but it could just mean vultures…

I would take these allegations more seriously if they were made to the police and not on Instagram.
