But 9/11! You said you’d never forget!

This Land is Your Land may forever be associated with folk music which may doom it, you are right. My only worry is that by opening this up, a bunch of idiots will push for God Bless America and we can’t have that travesty as our national anthem.

And, minus the God stuff, America the Beautiful is a much better song (especially the original lyrics which suggest America still has some work to do)

I interviewed with an insurance defense firm and halfway through the interview realized how awful the job must be. Kudos to you for surviving the experience.

The procedure to start up the Brammo (another electric motorcycle) is incredibly convoluted in order prevent false launches. It also can’t go with lights off, kickstand down, etc. When it is on, a series of green lights run on the dash. Still, I’m sure someone has accidentally launched it.

I know there are parts of rural Montana/Wyoming where you must pay for fire service. For those who don’t pay, the fire service will show up to save people but if structure is empty and poses no threat to other property, they will let it burn. I prefer the tax method, myself!

I had one of these. Important tip because I almost guarantee this will happen to you: as dorky as it looks, have the magnet on the outside of your clothing, connecting through (in my case) the undershirt and the shirt. Why? I wore mine under my shirt on my undershirt. End of the day, take off clothes, throw in hamper.

Well, we may have to agree to disagree. Municipalities have a lot of hard or unwanted jobs, including police, animal control, and sewage/wastewater. The problem is that pay starts to create all sorts of issues. Okay, fire is the hardest job, so let’s pay $80k (actual take home with OT might be $140k). What do you now

Is yours the type of operation where people have to “sign up” for fire service, ie, it isn’t covered by taxes?

If you look to see what your local firefighters are paid (including overtime) you might change your tune. In many municipalities, they are the highest paid public employees.

(Chicago Bulls announcer voice) Deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee-pressing!

Well, if revenues drop and the team has to move, at least we’ll know OKC fans will be understanding, as they were all-to-happy to receive the Supersonics. I mean, when the owner is right, the owner is right.

Yes, true, but still the way this is glossed over in the video and in the write-up is troubling. The guy in the video makes a point that it is “private land,” like somehow underground water sources understand barriers like that. If you’re going to do something like this, why not fling them off with a catapult-type

Sarah, couldn’t tell if you’re from the area or not from your article, but if you need suggestions for restaurants, bars, or things to do, ask away!

Unlike some of the other responses, I think this is a good point. It’s hard to tell what happened here because if I were an agent and I heard a coach was trying to directly deal with my client, I’d be super, super pissed. An agent is a representative who is hired to negotiate this contract. If a team/coach goes around

Fuck, wake me up when the Pistons are finally decent again in a couple years

Yes, the F2P aspect of it made me uninstall the original. Just charge whatever price upfront and I’ll do that.

I think they do that already but with Indians games.

First thing I thought of too!
