No they are not. The Challenger has twice the room as a Camaro. And the Mustang might not have much more room, but it is where it counts, in roof height and leg room.

I think the real story here is how well the Challenger is doing. Seems like the aging platform doesn’t really matter when you go for a specific customer and put a bonkers engine in it. I’m the first to bash them for letting the current design languish with no real styling updates, but the people that buy them love the

To be totally honest, I don’t know that they needed the Alpha platform in the first place. The ancient Chrysler LX platform seems to be getting the job done just fine. That money would have been better spent elsewhere.

[If you’re between 5"9' and 6"2' the “visibility issues” don’t exist].

You can’t see out of the damn things!

The Camaro has looked stupid since I can remember.  I'm sure it drives fantastic, but it looks like a grade school future car design.  The proportions are fucking terrible, the front end looked like a shitty Acura beak and mustang mutant child.

Because Ford managed to provide good outward visibility in the Mustang. Yes it's possible.

The Challenger does the retro thing much, much better. It’s literally a 9/8ths scale copy of the original.

The Camaro's lunch? To me it looks like the Mustang has eaten the Camaro's face.

having a rear seat you *could* put a baby seat into is of value to all to many buyers. Even if they don’t think they’ll ever do it, “just in case” does sell people. Its why SUVs and pickups are massively popular. They won’t haul lumber and/or 7 people but once a year, but it still sold them on it.

said that the Camaro “just doesn’t have the personality that the other two cars offer.”

I'm 6'3". The new Camaro is the only convertible I've driven that made me feel claustrophobic with the TOP DOWN... A thoroughly miserable car in traffic.

It’s not complicated. Price and visibility are killing this car.

Some could argue that a proper sportscar has a soft top, but those are definitely not sportscars.

Here’s a mind-boggingly obvious suggestion: stop with the insipid 911-like “too subtle to be noticed” styling changes and go big by paying homage to the 2nd gen Camaro:

Wonder why sales are slipping?? Look at the front end of the car in your pic, that thing could haunt an 8 room house its so ugly.

Pointless anecdote: I would be consistent with these findings, were I shopping for muscle/pony/thingie cars. The pre-facelift Mustang is a looker, I am coming around on the facelift... slowly. The Challenger still has the the “it” factor and is aging well despite being into its second decade of production. The Camaro

Well, I bought a 2013 Mustang and a 2016 Challenger back to back. The first time around, I cross shopped the Camaro, but found that I could get the same features I was looking for in the Mustang for a few thousand less than the closest Camaro equivalent, and the styling also was more attractive to me. The second time

The Camaro looks like an 8/7 scale model of a car, and has that butt-ugly bowtie and styling. The Challenger and the mustang are proportioned attractively, and people buy these for looks.

Now playing

I have driven these. Its borderline DANGEROUS how large the blindspots are. I am surprised it didnt break any DOT rules when they designed it this way.
