The New Deal prolonged the Great Depression. WWII only helped alleviate it because we shipped huge numbers of working age men overseas to shoot Germans and the Japanese. And ramped up fed.gov to where it was consuming 25% of GDP.

Congress, back in 2013ish, asked for and got an exemption from the Obama administration from Obamacare.
How will making employing somebody more expensive create more jobs?
This is excellent Kinja. I worked in Grimsby for two weeks a few years back and I survived on cornflakes and sausage rolls from gas stations. The food served at the B+B we stayed at, the refinery canteen we worked at, and the local restaurants was revolting.
The point is, he has not lost support in the one group you would expect he would. I am baffled.
10-4.
Hispanic support for Donald Trump has surged since Election Day, and now tops that of the president’s overall approval rating.
POTUS libraries are all privately funded.
Give them your time. Give them you support. Give them your vote. But never give them your love. All politicians will break your heart eventually because they have to weigh issues and vote not only with their conscience, but also with practical considerations. Not the least of which is getting elected and reelected.
I’m talking about the assault on civilian gun owners that happens every year when the CA legislature goes back into session. Including last year and this year.
So no flag, but still racist, and they want to disarm everybody? Sounds like California.
When my wiseass brother moved to FL back in the ‘80s he would often hear, “The South’s gonna do it again!”
As long as both sides are racist, I go with the one that trusts the individual to be armed.
So they want to display an impotent symbol, but are willing to let everyone own a gun? I’m okay with that. As opposed to CA where they talk about the individual out of one side of their mouth and ban guns out of the other.

So the liberals in CA, who are by and large white and hispanic, want to ban guns because black people are buying and owning? Whereas the red states, which are by and large white, are liberalizing gun ownership laws and as a consequence black people. along with every other demo, can buy and own.
That was 50 years ago. The gun banners now in CA are the democratic establishment.
Except that gun ownership is becoming diverse at the same time that concealed carry is on the rise, self defense laws are liberalizing, and crime is still falling from its 1993 highs.
Good. The more gun owners there are, of every political stripe and ethnicity/gender, the less likely gun control will prevail in this country. It’s much harder to otherize gun owners if they mirror the country at large.
I owned an ‘86 Yugo, from new, for 44 months until it spontaneously combusted one saturday afternoon when I turn the ignition key and heard a pop noise under the hood. I very carefully removed all of my things and then having retrieved a fire extinguisher, put the fire out. State Farm made me sign an affidavit…
