Expected this response, wasn’t disappointed. This article is focused on “scathing” and not “accurate” or “fair”.
Posting this link is a little bit of a cop-out, as it’s someone else’s list, but it’s perfect:
The industry is rife with similar anecdotes about Valvoline Instant Oil Change, but not everyone has gotten the message and this is absolutely not the owner’s fault. I wrenched when I was in school and the dealership technicians that I worked with made their fair share of mistakes, and were by no means perfect.
I like built A/G-bodies, but the pictures don’t show much of the rear setup and it’s probably too stock. It should, especially at this price, be back-halved or at least mini-tubbed. CP at this price...
I was thinking the same thing; this would be a great basis for a “mile shoot-out” car if it had a roof. Lots of organizations grief roadsters during during tech, even when the rules nominally permit them...
I may be a little partial, but...
I know that most of us get excited by the phrase “twelve-cylinder engine”, but these are truly awful cars: they’ll literally rust in half and every subsystem (brakes, wiring, etc.) is substandard and costs multiple fortunes to fix.
You’re spot on, and my post was a little tongue-in-cheek as ‘they’ would would die in paroxysms of offense.
I’ve often thought that a V8 model would do wonders for the Viper’s sales numbers without putting too much of a hit on its performance image.
If you’re buying a Viper buy the one with the most brakes you can afford. Since we’re spending imaginary fun money here we’d drop $110k on the GTS Coupe with all the nicer interior trim, the better shocks from the GT, and the StopTech two-piece rotors. Venom GTS white stripes are a $5,000 option, which is insane, but…
In that “Nessie” is nothing more than mis-sightings of the mundane...yes, Nessie.
“The Day After Tomorrow” is the number one climate-change movie? The only list that this movie could possibly lead is “Porn For Weathermen”, and even that’s debatable...
I’ve started riding dirt bikes when I was 12, street bikes when I was 16 and first my first ride on a road course at 18; I’ve been down so many times that I can’t count. I’ve broken almost every bone in my body at least once, including a basal skull fracture, and what I’ve learned is everyone goes down - everyone -…
I’m skeptical of Paul Elio’s approach to transportation engineering. I’ve had some interactions with them, and their approach seems to be “we’ll only engineer to the regulations that we want to”. I recommend watching this boring, but telling video where Paul discusses picking-and-choosing the regulations that he will…
This has always confused me as well; I wouldn’t by a pedal-car without driving it first and especially wouldn’t buy a car with a non-traditional component as important as a transmission.
Only to people that have never summered on a boat...
Sorry that your exposure to English is rather limited; perhaps I can help. I used “summer” a common boating term:
I think the top picture is the PJ150 “O’Khalila”...
Makes pretty good sense to me...
