Yep. I got a 'well if you pick up a lost kid and bring them to security in a store, people won't side eye you like they would if I did the same thing' WUT. My response was like, yeah and if you were a stay at home dad you would get put down in a very different way than a stay at home mom, people suck but it doesn't

The whole 'women don't get drafted' is a go-to throwdown in the debates I live in. It is super obnoxious and never makes any damn sense.

3:11-3:20 is the most amazing portion of this. Seriously.

Reading that book is like reading The Da Vinci Code, not an invitation to harass. Also, an invitation to harass isn't a thing that exists. Harassers exist.

I am unendingly annoying about clicking report. Regardless of the racist, hateful, or woman-beating, rapey, or whatever other horrible thing...it apparently never violates community standards. I got one, ONE where they said it did and then THREE MONTHS LATER updated that to reverse that decision and restore the image.

Rand Paul might have intern openings available.

DO THEY CARRY MEMBERSHIP CARDS?

Being a woman in a gym (when on bases that have them) on military bases overseas = most uncomfortable feeling of all time. I served in the Army for ten years and deployed multiple times. Regular Army gyms in the U.S. = uncomfortable. Gyms (or facsimile) in combat zones = HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLENESS.

OH, these are for a gym. I couldn't tell.

"hat-tastophe" is my favorite new word

Yep. Wear what the service tells you. Doesn't lessen your service.

YES. Continue on this path, world!

I realize that was mostly ad hominem but I am tired. It's what I have to offer today.

I don't want to read the comments section of the original article but I am going to assume that not one dudebro told her to "get back in the Kitchen(s)" WHICH THEY TOTALLY WOULD HAVE DONE IF SHE HAD WRITTEN LIKE A HUMAN AND NOT LIKE AN MRA.

Wait. White Girl Problems? I hate everything.

Oh and doing this as "witness training" is dumb. Dumbdumbdumb. Doing it as a drill (with student prepartion!) would be one thing (build muscle memory for reactions) but doing it to demo eyewitness unreliability? REAL stupid.

Preparedness is a legitimate thing. Granted, how you prepare people, particularly children, is really important. A lockdown or active shooter drill is a great idea. Doing the drill without preparing children is dumb. Not doing drills is a choice, but I think of them similar to the way I think of fire drills... Fires
