Looks interesting but yeah... the gameplay is visually... odd... literally just flashing lights and effects.
I hear they’re shooting “The Helpers” as well...
No love for Tactics Ogre: Knight of Lodis? That game has a hell of a story.
Odyssey was so repetitive and grindy, hopefully they can make it so you don’t do everything you will ever do in the first couple hours or so.
Ooooo does it mean we’ll actually be able to play as Brother Nier instead of “hit by the ugly shipping fleet because Americans can’t handle pretty men” Papa Nier? Cool, also some of the systems definitely need improvement.
If the game is already “in” Stores almost a week ahead of time... why are street dates still a thing?
The New Pornographers always make me feel better...
Except for...

LENNY!
The music and pacing have never been as good in Dragon Quest as they have in Final Fantasy but they make up for it in charm and um... plot twistyness, at least I rarely see the late game developments coming.
Warren Ellis isn’t really that pessimistic... He’s just an optimist who makes you work for your pay off.
I mostly worry that it’s not going to have a “good” story, but I suppose I shouldn’t be too worried given how great a job Larian did with Divinity Original Sin 2.
I am very in for this, I like the grotesque, surreal feel to it.
Horizon Zero Dawn has a lot of amazing “non scripted” moments as well
I still wonder what FF12 would have looked like if he hadn’t had a nervous breakdown during production...
EA’s just not gonna let the service game die are they...
On a big ol’ Yakuza Kick, I’ve had Yakuza 5 sitting on my PS3 for ages and I’m finally playing it.
I have fond memories of it, playing it on Co-Op with my friends, hatching monsters eggs, growing adorable fruit... but hoo boy is that battle system rough by modern standards, it’s so hard to land hits properly... you’ve gotta be on a nearly exact 2d line to your target.
I deeply hate Dark Souls... because I wish I was good enough at it to enjoy it, but I evidently lack the ability to “get good” so screw Dark Souls.
Uh Victor and Flik are pretty big ones... though I guess they’re just “presumed missing” and you can also lose Pan and Gremio throughout the course of normal game play rather than in Strategic Battles.
