Hey Grimke (and sorry for the threadjack, everyone else!)

If you´re an American like me (and I figure you are), then it is really, really difficult to get a resident visa here. They give priority to people in the Schengen Area (Scandinavia) and then to people from the EU. Since the US belongs to neither of those

It took me a while to formulate a response to this, because my parents´ divorce was an utterly crap and torturous time in my life. My family was torn up not by the divorce itself, but by the bitterness and negativity that came out of it.

Let me essplain. No, is to much. Let me sum up.

My Mom and Dad´s divorce came out

Wow. I ... WOW.

Ha ha! Glad to meet an Iceland fan.

I ended up here totally by accident. I am from Illinois and I got hired to teach abroad in Taiwan for a year (where my ex was from). I did that and realized I loved so many things about living outside of the US. In the meantime, my ex realized he didn´t want to return home and he

Ooooh, I´ve never tried their stuff. It looks great! Thanks!

I fell into this trap last year. I had a lot of new responsibilities at work, and I was eager to prove myself and do the job (that I really love!) but I was always working. I was always checking my email, planning things, etc.

This year, my husband got a new job. He usually comes home about 1-2 hours after I do. So my

I started having a bunch of issues last year where I would be running around doing my job and get absolutely FUNKY. I found out that there are two kinds of sweat: regular exertion sweat which is clear and less scented, and stress sweat, which is cloudy like a lipid (fat) and full o´ stank.

Ok. All of that sounds cool.

Thank you!

I dunno. Based on what you´ve said, I´d say you want to think about your goals in sleeping with him before you do it. (Yes, I know, but stay with me a minute.)

You´ve said that this guy is leaving in a few weeks and you´ll likely not see him for a while, or possibly ever. If you´re physically attracted to him and you

I can´t speak to brassiness because blonde would never work on me, but I don´t really worry about dying damaging my hair.

My hair has a tendency to be dry and breakable, but home dye kits come with so much moisturizing gel or after-wash conditioner that my hair ends up looking nicer than before I colored it. Oh, god,

A 400 word. Take home. Essay.

It sounds like she´s being a bad friend. Maybe she was a little freaked out by your experiences with your mental health (unfortunately, there´s a lot of stigma about it still out there, and she may have the wrong idea that if she talks about it, it will be icky or scary, or, worse, that it´s catching).

That´s not how

I just had LASIK eye surgery and love the results, BUT I´ve noticed since I stopped wearing my glasses that I have serious dark gray, puffy undereye circles. Sometimes I am tired, and they are a little better when I´ve had lots of sleep, but I just find them so noticeable.

Yes! Yes! This is the power of Gatsby! (Or any book you love that somebody else really GETS.)

Ha! That sounds like an awesome story. My mans and I are planning to visit some foreign countries for our anniversary this summer, but we´ll see if we make it (planning a European vacation can be a little overwhelming. So many choices, don´t want anyone to be disappointed, etc. Blah.)

This may sound weird, but ... what´s the problem? It sounds like you´ve dealt with the problem (back when you were still handling the 'train wreck' stage of disappointment and crushed hopes).

I saw this the other day on one of my news feeds ... it looks fabulous for the budget. Maybe some pictures will inspire you?

Ever taken a long car trip with your beloved? Being trapped in a small space for several hours with nothing to do but talk (or argue about the music) can reveal a lot.

I agree with PolCat.
