What people always forget is the chicken tax.
What people always forget is the chicken tax.
One of the strongest Brexit votes came from Sunderland, where Nissan has Europe’s most efficient car plant - and one of Europe’s largest.
One of the likeliest outcomes of Brexit is the Japanese manufacturers moving production for the EU to a nation that stays within the EU.
The workers at Nissan voted to Leave, often…
Exactly this. Not to start a discussion about the Last Jedi, but I had the same thoughts there--Yes, plenty of people are being assholes, but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t address the criticisms that have substance.
Activision/Blizzard is a massive corporation, and the people in that audience are paying customers. Comparing this to a murder and casting Blizzard as the victim is irrational hyperbole and gross.
Gonna lose mah job to own the libs.
I reject that notion as reductive.
You can’t compare Ubisoft and Blizzard. We *know* there is going to be a new AC, because they constantly announce new ones and they come out, without fault, every 1-2 years. You can’t say the same about Blizzard’s franchises.
I mean, we’ve known for a long time that the Diablo team is working on stuff. Immortal is outsourced, and the Diablo team obviously isn’t just twiddling their thumbs, and there’s been multiple job postings for spots on the Diablo team. It’s being made.
When you have to use double parenthesis, you’re probably overexplaining yourself.
People don’t know that Diablo 4 is in development, as it’s not like Blizzard hasn’t taken it’s sweet time in getting sequels out before. Starcraft 2 was in limbo for quite awhile, and we probably will never see a Warcraft IV.
I’m still stunned that Blizzard, with as on touch as they were once known for being could have fouled this up so badly. Immortal was something that should have been a press event with mobile focused gaming sites such as Touch Arcade and the like pitched to.
We had a fascinating slack/breakroom discussion about this at our studio, and the take-way was that neither the fans or the Immortal devs are really to blame or deserve scorn. It’s those who made the behind the scenes choices leading up to this past weekend that truly deserve the ire.
Even just a title card, as hated as those can be would have cushioned some of the blow of Immortal.
Wow. I bet someone’s regretting THAT decision.
I think you’re missing a big point in regards to people raising their concerns: It lets developers know what some the playerbase wants, and it sometimes does have an effect. Like you said, loot boxes generate millions of dollars. However, loot box revenues remain competitive, and the revenues can only be spread out…
Actually, a lot of people were expecting a DII Remaster, not news on D4.
I don’t really know where it started, but a lot of people were expecting/hoping for a Diablo II remaster in the days leading up to Blizzcon. So beyond the general distrust and dislike of mobile gaming in general the let down of not getting a DII Remaster has led to a large backlash. Plus, a lot of people are saying…
There isn’t a problem with them making games for other markets, but I don’t know why they’re making this. Gameloft essentially made Diablo for mobile games years ago and it wasn’t that popular, (probably because the controls for mobile aren’t good). Sure, Diablo can do better because of the name, but I don’t think…
I don’t understand why Blizzard can’t just say the phrase “We’re working on Diablo 4". We know they’re working on it. They know they’re working on it. They’ve said it in so many different ways without literally saying it. Even if what is now Diablo 4 dramatically changes in the future, whatever mainline game that…
