Brilliant. You've got to love hooning around in aircraft support vehicles. I became very adept at pulling stoppies in these in Afghanistan:

I don't think it's the fact that the pilot isn't cleared to fly the Victor. It's more that the Victor is only cleared for taxi runs and not flights. It would be awesome to see a Victor get back in the air but the costs would be astronomical, as proved by the Vulcan which has been flying and almost bankrupting it's

Yep, outside of 'sports cars' MG have always been badge engineering cars such as Austins, Morrises and Rovers to produce sports saloons and hot hatches. It's been their bread and butter, right up until they were sold to the Chinese. This is the first non-sports car to be designed and sold purely as an MG, with no

As an Airframe Technician, the BBMF was a dream posting for me when I was in the RAF. Alas, I was never lucky enough to be selected and ended up stuck working on boring modern aircraft instead!

Just like to confirm that the Household Cavalry carry out reconnaissance missions in Afghanistan mounted on vehicles rather than their horses!

It's true that she worked on military vehicles in the Second World War, however, Land Rovers didn't exist until 1948. She would have spent her time fixing kit such as the AEC Matador or Austin Tilly........

Not quite, the majority of today's Skoda's are based on the current VAG platforms. Same with SEAT, before anyone says anything!

I think the Adam's biggest problem in the UK is the name. Opel isn't exactly that well known here so no one can link the name 'Adam' to the company. Think Vauxhall should have come up with their own or used a name from the archives. Viva anyone?

I used to have a Mk4 Astra Sport like that. Wasn't that bad, Lotus tuned suspension iirc.

The current Astra is a bloody good car to be honest. In the UK military we use them quite a bit as staff/fleet cars and I've been really impressed with the build quality and the handling is proper good fun! Be interesting to see how quicker it is around the track than the Cee'd.

The whole point of the Reasonably Priced Car is it's a humdrum, cheap to run car accessible to anyone. A GT86 of Fiesta ST do not fall into that bracket. For a start, they hardly have affordable insurance groups. Surprised to see an Astra though, I was expecting another obscure Korean shed!

But they provide British jobs and were designed, engineered and assembled in Britain. I think that is the whole point of this shoot - manufacturing is different to just assembly. That is why there are a couple of Nissan's and Honda's in there, a lot more than just the assembly goes on for these makes in the UK. I'm

How are they physically built by Germans and Indians?

Built in the UK.

They are all British BUILT vehicles, hence the Nissans and Hondas and the lack of a Mini Countryman or Paceman.

Unless you're from the South West of England. We like pronouncing our 'R's', so it would be 'Coo-grrrr'.

This is stunning. Nothing wrong with a ducktail, reminds me of this guy........

The 200bhp Juke Nismo has just been released here in the UK. I was quite tempted but have just decided to go for a Countryman Cooper SD All4 instead, the looks of the Juke still don't quite cut it for me yet.
