Blue bloods? Nah, British 'rednecks'!

Banger racing like this is one of the reasons there's so few classics around in the UK. The 80's and 90's saw a great many restorable classics wrecked in races like this. These days they tend to use MOT failure FWD shit boxes like Mondeos and Vectras, so no loss!

The Queen Mum's dead mate..........

Didn't realise you guys got these in the US as well. In the UK, that was the Vauxhall Frontera, pretty horrid when new and now only driven by Doggers, Lampers and Pikeys (look them up!)........ As for that one, WTF!

I visited Brooklands for the first time on a very wet and windy December day last year. Stood quietly on the bridge looking down onto the remaining banking was incredibly atmospheric, almost spooky. The museum there is fantastic, a great bunch of guys and some amazing exhibits, both motoring and aviation.

Opposite way around in the UK (well, at least down here in Cornwall). I regularly see Supras, most of which wear some terrible F&F style bodykits and mods as they have fallen into the hands of chavs but I can't remember the last time I saw an RX-7 of any generation.

You can't beat a good bit of Snatch.........

Ooh, I'll see your Vectra and 'raise' you an Astra.........

That's a Sierra Cosworth rather than the Sapphire which was a saloon. The UK plod did use Sapphire Cossie's however.......

It seems people are talking about this in the same way that a Mini Countryman is "no Mini"...... Despite the usual haters, I'm seeing those things everywhere! Also, remember that MG isn't just about 'sports cars', remember the likes of the Metro, Maestro, ZS and the ZT-T wagon to name but a few cars bearing the

Lol, good old Italian engineering!

The smallest X1/9 engine was a 1290cc unfortunately so as fun as they are, not small enough!

A Wolf-spec Defender 110 for me. I am very biased as I used an RAF Helicopter Support Variant as a daily for 3 months at Camp Bastion and absolutely loved it. Starting to see quite a few creeping onto the second hand market over here now and I'm very tempted!

That's a lot of cars! And being of that age, well and truly lost by the manufacturers on the second hand market. Could you imagine the lawsuits now from people injured or the relatives of those killed in these cars over the years?

Judging by the previous comments, I think it's wrong that I really like that! Bring it to the UK please Dodge, it would make a great rival to the MG6 and I would actually really consider one!

If I could ever justify the running costs of a Scoobie, I'd find it hard to choose between a Hawkeye and a Bugeye Wagon although I think the Bug wins it slightly on looks for me. That said, give me a Gravel Express any time! Whilst we're at it, Impreza Casa Blanca anyone?

The LeMans saloon you've shown was known as the Vauxhall Belmont in the UK. For some strange reason, I used to hanker after one of those back in the day, especially the SRI version.......... Can't remember the last time I ever saw one though, they're probably all dead. Speaking of Vauxhall's, we only really know of
