That’s exactly what Quantum of Solace was.
That’s exactly what Quantum of Solace was.
The entire first season is on Netflix. Watch it! It’s awesome!
“The film’s like Taken with Bond,” says the source, who adds that the suave spy is trying to avenge his wife’s murder.
How about James Bond gets given an assignment - you know, by the government - and then they make the film about that? I don’t particularly need yet another film about his personal angst.
The first season was so good that I feel reasonably confident that Schur has a master plan. He’s not exactly new to doing this.
Bond.
Can we please have a Bond movie that isn’t all about his damn personal life? Like, can’t he just be - I dunno, I’m just spitballing here - A SPY ON A SPY MISSION?
Anyone who didn’t see the first season of The Good Place, you need to correct that oversight right now.
Let’s be clear, the NFL’s line is, “He’s not good enough. We’d take any guy who would help us win,” then vaguely gesture to the list of women/child beaters still in the NFL, because they have “talent.”
THEN Lewis comes out and says, “He WAS good enough to be considered but then his girlfriend did a tweet that hurted my…
I really feel that way. The Bond song is a part of the fun of a Bond movie for me. When a new Bond comes put, I make sure to not listen to the song before I see the movie so as to get the full experience. And how much I enjoy the song can change my reception of the movie - I would probably give Spectre more slack if…
I mean a marketing guy reaching out to Beyonce to sing a song doesn’t really slow development of the story/script.
Whilst that would certainly help, the theme from Spectre was so bad I don’t blame people for getting excited about the possibility of getting a good one again.
I mean, it’s not like the writers really have anything to do with the theme song, they aren’t usually composers. It’s a big production, you can have multiple departments working on different things.
Maybe they should concentrate on more important things at this early stage, like a decent story.
Why? The earlier you can bring in the performer the more time they have to figure out what approach to take with the song.
Negotiating with a big artist like Beyonce takes time, so putting out feelers early is totally understandable. Besides, it’s not like the screenwriters or the director are doing this job. Studios have a separate music department to take care of this. This isn’t cutting into the screenwriting time one bit.
Maybe if Warner Bros. wants to go the darkest route with the Joker, they can have Batman lobotomize him, like he wanted to do in that kids’ record/book set from the ‘70s drawn and written by Neal Adams.
Or better yet, in the form of the antagonist after the protagonist he played hanged himself and a weird shape-shifting cloud with confusing motivation took his form!
I feel so bad for Cavil. The dude is so damn charming, you can tell just from that one stupid GIF. Still irritates me the man from uncle bombed, that movie was awesome.
