No butternut squash available in the UK in 1982, I would wager (I was there).

Because Ramsey would never have just loosed a whole round of arrows if it looked as if Rickon was going to make it ... sure, you do you!

there’s just something about the way the UK does funky. it was true back in 1983 just the way it was true in 2008 and is still true today. and it’s not just the music that comes out of the UK, but the music from elsewhere that makes it there before it makes it anywhere else.

Wow, great reveal. Maybe someone will finally get this figured out. This looks close to perfect for me. Thanks!

Do you see me complaining about anyone getting high? Right, I didn’t think so. Carry on ...

Do you read me as mocking or belittle psychoactive-drug induced experiences? I was more making a plea for people to be more upfront about it. Of course, I could be wrong and she just had a great time at a club somewhere, no drugs involved. But I wasn’t saying that if her experience was helped along by ecstasy that it

I liked her music, much more than the other 2 demo’ed songs at least. But to claim that it has unique sounds is ... misleading.

I’m not trying to be snarky. Her precise words were:

Am I the only one who doesn’t see tears? Just a very intrigued Pharrell?

She did ecstasy and listend to EDM ... today’s spirituality.

Actually, hosts are required to pay hotel taxes. Sometimes they do, often they don’t.

The statistics on this are not, as far as I know, clear. AirBnb has certainly been horribly polluted by the “furnished apartments that are only rented out for short stays through air bnb” category, but it isn’t clear that these actually dominate across the entire site.

If Pat’s or Gino’s are your best reason to come to Philly, please stay home.

See the career of Thandie Newton and Carmen Ejogo.

the British are much better at casting regardless of race

Yep, my mistake. I misparsed the point of that paragraph (discussing the origin of the word “vulnerable” rather than the concept of “the vulnerable man”.

The publicly vulnerable man isn’t exactly new. He is, unsurprisingly, an invention of the theater.

Amen. Nothing more to say.

I’ll start with “That’s the Way Love Goes” from janet. “What’ll I Do” from the same album is not much to my taste, but is a pretty good vocal showcase. “He Doesn’t Even Know I’m Alive” from Control has some pretty good vocal fireworks.

Janet made albums with great vocals (given the limitations of the genre) before autotune was even a twinkle in someone’s eye. She didn’t need it then, she doesn’t need it now.
