One day, you too will share in the wisdom known first to The Dad (though the legends are unclear on whether The Mom or The Dad were the first recipients; no matter, they share). There are no shortcuts on the path, so bide your time. But eventually, you too will do things that will make your offspring remark “No [insert…
Are there actually any female authors in that list?
Color me confused.
Good job guys. I guess they just hate standing urinals, because the next, totally sane move in toilet design will be to complete remove them, use stalls everywhere, and thus make no distinction between “mens” and “womens” bathrooms at all. Oh, and they’ll all be about as safe as any other small room where someone with…
R.i.g.h.t. Because it owes nothing whatsoever to Appalachian folk music, which in turns owes nothing to various Anglo-Celtic traditions.
Nicely said, except for one detail. The op-ed article that prompted this post is basically about the difference between “I think” and “I feel”, so glossing over that difference and noting that they both represent personal statements does an end-run around the original point.

Columbusing Columbusing ... eeek. How many more layers can there be? Is Decolumbsing Columbusing possible? How about Columbising the Decolumbisization of Columbusing? Are any of these things? Could they be?
You’re confusing a representative democracy with a republic.
Radio? Radio? Why on earth would you rely on a for-profit (or not-for-profit) inherently local organization with a fixed demographic to provide for your musical needs when you have .... the internet? Get thee to a decent list of internet streams (aka “internet radio”) if you don’t want to do spotify.
What signs do you see that this is a parody?
The evidence so far is not that
