Suspiria is not my favorite movie on the list, but I do think it's really effective. The sounds and colors and shadows are all really unnerving.

If you want a good Halloween theme horror movie then check out 'Trick r Treat'. Little noticed when released and I believe it may have even been straight to DVD, it is actually really good and has been steadily gaining a devoted following. Plus Brian Cox being Brian Cox, which is always awesome.
The Changeling is a great movie, and scary as hell. It was just squeezed off the list in the end by my preference for movies with darker, more ambiguous endings. But I love that movie.
Every single person I know was screaming "What the fuck are you doing?" when he called timeout on the Packers 4th and 10 earlier in that drive. Then that motherfucking moron called timeout on the play right after the fake spike. He gave Green Bay two free timeouts for the biggest plays of the game, time to draw up…
This might get mentioned more as the week goes on, but Philbin played almost as big a role as Rodgers did in this comeback. Throwing the ball on the last Miami drive, and then calling two timeouts on the Packers last drive when GB didn't have any left, Andy Reid watched this game and was impressed with how bad the…
No wonder he suited up for the game that he was supposed to sit out for. Certainly no one has held him accountable for anything up until this point. And what a pathetic attempt that was.
During his relatively short time on the national stage, Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker has proven himself one of…
Is this different from the Manziel case? If not, I'm interested to see how the NCAA tries to justify treating Gurley much more harslhy than it treated Manziel.
No disagreement here either, though I grew up in Wisconsin and "imported" a keg of Spotted Cow to Kansas City for my wedding two years ago (we had that and Boulevard Brewing Single-Wide IPA). I think a lot of the below comments about it being readily available and having wide appeal are perfectly accurate...and that's…
I think the love for Spotted Cow mostly comes from the fact that it's an easy drink, not necessarily because it's the best. There are many young-20s-ish people who are first trying to graduate from mass-produced swill to craft beers and the easiest gateway is something like Spotted Cow.
Meanwhile, CNN is following the search for the missing February 30.
Somewhere in that room, Manziel is texting LeBron looking for advice on dance moves
Jesus. That looks more like TWO hits to the head, the second blow coming from ground when his head snapped back. Anyone seeing that replay would not have let him back in the game.
First, he should read Tim Marchman's piece on why trying to make himself out as moral enforcer is wrong. He's the head of a billion-dollar business, nothing more or less. And if he still wants to wade into this issue after that, be honest. Admit he had very little of an actual understanding of domestic violence. Say…
A thousand demerits to the officials, too, who also have a responsibility to exclude apparently-concussed players (not to mention the guy who concussed him).
Strange, usually testing their piss is more accurate.
Ray Rice gets two weeks (initially).
Sorry. Title IX rape case. You are correct, the authorities determined insufficient evidence exists to file criminal charges. But you're mincing words. It's an allegation of rape at the core of all this hullabaloo, no? And although the D.A. declined to file charges it does not necessary follow that this coddled,…
Let’s begin with Peter King on Twitter last night. If you hate-follow poor Peter on Twitter, as I do, you know that…
