AWD; the front transmission has a transfer gear driving a driveshaft to the rear axle. The rear axle has a hydraulically actuacted set of two or three clutch packs: This is the new i-VTM4 system. The gearing makes the rear axle over driven (spins faster than the front) to provide a rear-biased torque distribution when…
No because it never understands me.

“Secure compartment for things that need securing.”
My solution to that was 2x4's cut to fit in the saddles molded into the bedliner, a couple sets of u-bolts in those with a 48 1/2" distance, and a mental reminder to buy some 8' s4s lumber, 2x4's, or a sheet of plywood at the same time (if hauling drywall).
Can somebody photoshop that nose onto the body of this truck? Yeahhh... That'd be great...
“Sounds like a GM issue”
The truck definitely intrigues me. I could see it as my next DD. The key would be AWD (which I kinda need in the winter around the mountains of WV). I don’t really get the speakers in the bed thing though. I think it’s going to come down to the final big three numbers - MPG, Towing capacity, and price.

Your points are fair, but here’s a counter-point to the spare tire thing. Three out of the five times I’ve actually needed to drop the spare tire on my ‘06 GMC Sierra (aka once every two years), the stupid spare tire winch has failed to drop all the way down.
There will be a true torque vectoring AWD system. Probably no low range, but you will probably never use it anyway.
FWD or AWD.
If its anything like the original Ridgeline, it will be FWD-based AWD. An uncommon layout for a truck but it does have its charms. Here’s to hoping that Honda lets it get some variation of SH-AWD. I am not hopeful though; in the US Honda seems set on keeping SH-AWD Acura exclusive.
