I'm in the same boat, girl! You might like Benefit High Beam, Benefit Girl Meets Pearl, or the Becca liquid one in the white Pearl color. They're just glowy, not glittery. Definitely more subtle and easier to apply because you just use your fingers.

I'm also very pale with light hair so like, I get it. I just object to a makeup artist telling someone they "can't" anything, especially something as fundamental as black liquid liner. Maybe the writer mis-paraphrased the artist's words but saying "brown can be a natural daytime option" is different than saying "black

The ones I mentioned are pretty shimmery, with Kevyn Aucoin being less so and more of a pearlized finish. You can definitely get a matte or satin finish highlighter, though. You could even just go to the drugstore and grab a foundation like Loreal True Match Powder or Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse a few shades lighter

It doesn't have to be purple purple. Purplish taupes like MAC Shale or Nars Lhasa will look great on green eyes. But if you're a neutral lover you probably have that covered.

They all have such even skin, I'm jealous :(

Their liquid highlighters are pretty subtle. If you're looking for more bang, something you can really "see," try one of their powdered or "poured" versions. Or try theBalm's Mary-Lou Manizer or Kevyn Aucoin Celestial Powder. Or try a drugstore powder like Wet n Wild Reserve Your Cabana or a Physicians Formula Shimmer

I do contour sometimes by starting the brush where the cheekbone meets the ear and blending down toward the corner of the mouth (but not actually TO the mouth). Don't go too low on the cheek. Or do the same technique with bronzer but more on the actual cheeks and not in the hollow. Then I will go lightly around my

I just cut my hair to a little below the shoulder so I'm intrigued. What do you mean by a twist? Like a french twist? Or like twisting little sections of hair into ringlets?

I thought that too lol but she could just do a regular braid or pigtails.

Your hair looks great in every photo. Very nice hair. You might try sleeping with your hair in a french braid and see if you wake up with "beach waves." That is what I do. I have Haim hair (or college white girl hair) and I find it really boring. But I also don't enjoy styling my hair, so I live with the boring.

Charles Blake! That actor was on a long running British police drama called Foyle's War when he was younger and way yummier. Highly recommend Foyle's War if you need another British TV show.

Thank you!

I love that brown lipstick is in! It's kind of "serious" but really sexy. A lot of lipsticks pull brown on my skin tone anyway, so it helps me out, too.

Yep! And it has colloidal oatmeal, a popular eczema treatment. If you (like me) can never find a lip balm that doesn't leave lips feeling even drier, you might like this. The formula is similar to the original Blistex ointment in the squeeze tube, which I used to like until I developed the allergy to lanolin. The FAB

Man, all these problems, they're legit. My makeup routine when I can't freakin see anything is like "cross my fingers and hope for the best!" My tips would probably be focus on brows and lips. Make sure your brows are neat, and wear something fun on the lips (even if it's just a sheer gloss). Forget the eyes. I can't

I love Lancome Definicils. It will lengthen and separate, not really volumize. The wand is somewhat skinny, so you can really get to the base of the lashes. And it washes off with water, soooo easy. It also lasts a long time before the tube dries out. Clinique is good, too, and cheaper. High Impact or Lash Doubling

Dr. Jart Ceramidin Liquid and Ceramidin Cream are great moisturizers and have absolutely no fragrance. They are meant to be used together, with the Liquid being a light moisturizer that provides hydration and the Cream being a "lock-and-seal" type thing over top. I find the liquid is not enough on it's own (I still

For Sephora, I would budget more like $100-$150. You very well might not need that much but if you only budgeted $50, that won't necessarily take you that far. But you could also tell the employee what your budget is, and she'll show you, like, the $15 mascara instead of the $30 one.

Makes me kind of sad. If I worked there I would want the used products. Like, a cream product in a tub that someone dipped their fingers into, or a used mascara tube... yeah that's not sanitary. But a perfume that's been sprayed a few times, I want that! Even eye shadow that I can spray alcohol on, hell I want that,

Thanks! I do like Ole Henriksen and I have eyed Perricone MD but never bought anything.
