It is really sad, these are people who are in positions of authority over female students and I can't imagine their classrooms feel very safe or comfortable after these comments have come out. It's not the place of male professors (or anyone) to tell the female student population that these things which are part of

Between him and the U of R professor the other day, this is so upsetting. My school is geographically situated sort of between Rochester and Geneseo. We multiple reported sexual assaults and a student was murdered on campus by her boyfriend last semester alone. Violence against women isn't a "thing" on college

I've been wondering about that too! Maybe I watch too much tv.

He's obviously had practice at not apologizing

Completely unrelated to your actual point, this line "and anecdotes about some sanctimonious vegetarian they met once with ethically sourced kale-lentil-quinoa arrangements" made me laugh so hard because its so true.

Yes! Or like "well, you're never going to end all the animal suffering and you can never actually be 100% vegan. Did you know (insert object with animal derived products in it) isn't actually vegan?!?!?"

It's interesting to me that they're such veterans but tend to tour with bands that are hugely popular in the moment like Paramore and Fun. They strike me as the kind of band that everybody knows and loves but that have never really "blown up" (maybe now they are, idk).

Oh, interesting. I didn't remember her from Bridesmaids. Also, after some investigating it appears that Pitch Perfect was a much bigger hit than I thought. It's all starting to make sense now..

What's the story with Rebel Wilson? Who is she? Where did she come from? I feel like I woke up one day and all of a sudden she was everywhere but I've never actually seen her in anything.

I don't know if you've already seen this, you can find people you know who are missing or report people that you have heard from who others might still be looking for. I hope you loved ones are well

Oh that's awful. I hadn't heard that about the last mile

Guerilla feminism posted a story about this over the weekend and judging by the quotes from the manager who put it up, I would not be surprised if people did tell him it was a bad idea and he was like "Relax. I got this."

I love T&S! They're number one on my list of bands that I would love to see live but haven't gotten to yet.

I don't necessarily make it to the store every week and I also don't drive, so when I have a ride I buy things in bulk which increases the price of individual grocery store trips, but overall my grocery spending works out to be pretty much in line with yours. Although I will add that when I have to walk to the store

That's awesome! Congrats

It wasn't until after I got my kitten I really started to worry about the chemicals I was using to clean my house, I trust myself not to lick the tiles after I clean them but I wasn't so sure about him. I've been using vinegar and baking soda for just about all my cleaning and it's kind of surprising how well they

My partner has a very similar approach. He is in the "sleep as late as possible, poop, shower, lay in boxers watching netflix until it's tomorrow" camp, while I prefer to go with "wake up, drink water, eat something fatty, cry all day."

haha yes! My kitty wakes me up usually some time between 2 and 4 by causing a huge ruckus (knocking my computer on the floor, running over dishes in the sink, pushing over all the things in my shower), and then wakes me up around 6 for snuggles. I think he prefers zombie me to regular me.

You and I are living parallel lives.
