BUT BUT BUT! MENTAL ILLNESS!
BUT BUT BUT! MENTAL ILLNESS!
Exactly. I hate seeing this filed under "mental illness". It erases accountability for the culture that we are raised in - the one that teaches these men to varying degrees that they are entitled to women, that women are not people, and that it is not a big deal to violate them.
I have a pixie cut too and Dirty hair cream is great for it! I like Catastrophe Cosmetic too, it's a good one.
Nice! They just gave me a sample of the R&B hair stuff and I am quite enjoying it. Will probably end up purchasing it. Gorgeous is incredible, I do shell out the $95 for it and have worked through a few pots. Funds are a bit tight right now so I recently bought Vanishing Cream instead, but Gorgeous really is…
Lush is the shit. I use so many of their products - Ultrabland to clean at night, Angels on Bare Skin scrub in the morning. My bathroom cupboard is full of black pots.
I fucking love Sharon Stone.
I'm pretty darn gay, but there is something about seeing men's thighs in shorter shorts that is appealing...maybe because it doesn't happen very often so it feels special and a bit risque. I very much like when men wear short shorts.
Woah. I think I know what you mean when you say lesbian-feminists - as in, second wave, lesbian separatist big on policing etc - but plenty of folk identify as lesbian and feminist (like, uh, me) and that's a pretty offensive statement to make, and a big brush to use.
Totally. I read articles sometimes (mainly on Autostraddle I guess) that are like "how to be recognized as a femme - get an undercut!" and if I were to do some of the more "recognizable" stuff, I would be dressing for others, even if those others are the queer community. I identify as femme, and am also fairly…
Agreed. I'm a femme lesbian but not an alternative looking one...most of my wardrobe is from Banana Republic and though I do my own version of femme, it doesn't look like this.
Seriously. I shave maybe once a week. If it's summer. And I am super pale with dark thick hair that grows quickly. Shaving takes time and I find it boring. Also I can still see my hair follicles under the skin, so it doesn't even look that smooth when I shave. Waxing leaves me red (and the hair follicles…
I live in a very safe place, non-US, large gay population, and even then, there can be a fear of a threat to safety. My ex is trans (FTM) and he really hated using public restrooms when there wasn't a private unisex one available. He didn't feel safe in the men's restroom, and didn't like being stared at in the…
Judi Dench
Actually it's really good. I use it with a heavy hand and it really doesn't make clumps.
Thank you for saying it more eloquently than I could.
Didn't see your edit. In response...
Well, at least we won't waste any time.
For me, it hurts more because we are told over and over again that a heterosexual relationship is more legitimate, worth more, is a "real" relationship, etc. Because being in a heterosexual relationship comes with benefits one doesn't get in a same-sex relationship. In that sense, I can't "compete" with a man. …
