I was told that the brush made a big difference because it exfoliates the skin and lifts up the hairs, allowing for a closer shave. The razor (not the blade) does not matter so much as long as it’s comfortable for you. If you are shaving in the shower, something not slippy makes it easier, like a handle with a bit of

I use one to shave my legs and it works just fine. Bit of a learning curve but nothing too bloody. I used to have awful razor burn on my legs (and anywhere else I shave) and now I don’t! Yay safety razors.

Oh my god I’ve emailed them twice to stop getting their catalogues (and got confirmation emails back!!) and received another one in the mail today which went immediately into the recycling.

The quality for some of their items is abysmal. I have gone through about 4 pairs of Matchstick jeans that always rip when the fabric gets worn where my thighs touch. The first pair that ripped, I brought back and they gave me a new pair. After that pair ripped, I realized it was the jeans and bought my next 2 pairs

Just wanted to say I agree 100% with you on this thread. My partner and I are almost the same ages as Mary-Kate and her husband, and sometimes it is just not a big deal. Also she is a fully grown adult woman who started working at a very young age. Being small does not mean one is less deserving of respect.

It could just be that you aren’t used to it, not that it looks objectively bad on you. Or maybe doesn’t fit with the rest of your makeup?

OKAY.

I have been told the same from my doc. I am religious about sunscreen (SPF 110 baby) and have had suspicious moles removed. I just take vitsmin d pills sometimes, and figure I'll be fine.

I love Burton crystal files : http://crystalfiles.com/ They are from Vancouver I think, and they’re awesome. I live in Vancouver so I just bought one at a store but a friend bought one online and had it shipped no problem.

No, they didn't, though I think some people are more susceptible to them than others. Apparently they are just blackheads that are trapped below the skin. The air is what makes blackheads black, and under the skin they look light. I do get little whiteheads near the surface of my skin but they are easy to get rid

Good point! I was never sure if I had warm or cool undertones and a MAC MUA told me I was neutral. I am not sure if that's true but it could explain my difficulty in finding my warm of cool. Maybe gold would work well. But this dark plum seems to be a commonly suggested thing that I haven't tried so I think it is

Did the same. Got a kidney infection. Stupid doc.

I tried the OCM for a month and my skin (which was nice before - not great, but nice) turned into a giant vat of cystic acne that hurt, was super red, and DID NOT GO AWAY. I also got tons of little white bumps (at first I typoed "shite" instead of "white", which is also accurate) I think they were called milia.

Sketch looks great! I like it. Maybe I could wear just a bit of it in the crease or something. I wear really bright lipstick everyday so I try to keep my eyes fairly neutral, but I think a lot of these shadows people have been suggestion could be fairly low-key depending on how they were applied.

Ohh thank you. I am pretty attached to MAC so those suggestions sound awesome. Copperplate looks bang-on. Satin Taupe looks awesome too but I am not sure about the shimmery quality. Someone else suggested MAC Sketch and that looks nice too, like this reddish plummy tone everyone has been mentioning. So many

I wear very bright lipstick almost every day. I dress pretty plainly/minimalist, and keep the rest of my makeup neutral + subtle cat eye, so I feel it works. Usually I am much more "done" than anyone I'm with, but I'm cool with it. I live in a very casual city and I love makeup and dressing up, so I have gotten used

I don't like what they did to Connie either. :/ Many other commenters suggested the plum/purple liner thing and I would really like to try it.

that's a great idea. I usually do a black cat eye over my neutral matte shadow, but I'll look for a plum gel/liquid liner. Sounds fun and not too purple. Thanks!

Ok so it's not just me! I have felt like the obvious thing to do is just...put more green on my lids. Right? But no make up artist has ever suggested that to me so I wondered if it was some sort of faux pas.

Copper has been another oft-suggested shade for me and I totally agree, it brings out the green. I have a couple great copper shades but am just a bit wary of them...I think I am just not an eyeshadow person.
