Reusable air filters are absolutely terrible at actually filtering air, though. They let all kinds of shit into your engine that a normal filter would keep out.

I used to use the K&N drop-in filters, but then did some reading that at the gain of HP, you have the cost of allowing more particles of dirt and such to get through the filter (not sure how true all this is). Now I just stick with the stock filters.
I think by now people should realize that the vast majority (if not ALL) factory intake systems are deliberately designed to bring in cooler air. The ducting literally pull in air from outside the hot engine bay, which is as cool as you can get without a water to air intercooler.
Peak hp gains are one thing. Consistent gains across all engine speeds is something completely different. Sometimes a gain at high revs is offset by a dip at lower revs.
Google pays out 68% of their AdSense revenue, so for every $100 an advertiser pays, Google pays $68 to the publisher.
Maybe one of the Foxtrot Alpha guys could compare that to the operating cost of a fighter jet.
On the surface, getting a $200,000 discount seems pretty good — until you realize that is only about 6 percent off the sticker price.
I have this feature on my Focus and my wife’s Explorer. Very handy to have, as I’ve unintentionally locked my keys in the car at least once since I’ve owned it, and do lock my keys in on purpose when I don’t want to have them with me for some reason. My kids know the code as well, so they can open the car if they need…
Supercruise also seems to be the only competitive offering to Autopilot. Though more limited in features, GM doesn’t recklessly overpromote it as ‘autonomous’ like Tesla does.
I don’t think this $112k truck is supposed to be a volume seller so much as it’s a engineering and marketing exercise.
I don’t think this $112k truck is supposed to be a volume seller so much as it’s a engineering and marketing exercise. It’s probably a better test bed for the supply chain management, if things go wrong at least it won’t a big PR disaster and then the developments will be eased into the more popular platforms.
We love to hate on GM, but they’re second only to Tesla in battery and autonomous driving tech. Hate on the dopey Bolt all you want, but 260 miles of range on a car that regularly retails for under $30k (actual retail prices - not the over inflated MSRP) is an extremely impressive feat.
*Car Explodes Immediately After Landing*
He gets bonus points for attempting a dangerous stunt during the unluckiest year ever. Glad all went well.
You are VASTLY underestimating the number of wealthy buy American types who like to have cool toys for the dirt. Have you even priced out a fully kitted out SxS? Go to moab and see 4 of them on a trailer parked next to a 5th wheel and a brand new HD truck pulling it.
That’s actually a fantastic example. You realize they in fact did NOT call Apollo 7 a “Moon Mission” right? They didn’t even put a picture of the moon on the patch.
If Tesla created a feature that was labeled “Full Self-Cleaning” in reference to exterior of the car, would you believe it cleaned itself?
You know, you all try to get by on a technicality saying that “Autopilot” doesn’t mean “drives by itself” because that’s not the way the term in used for aircraft. But now, trying to say “full self driving” doesn’t have to mean “fully drives by its fucking self” is a bridge too damn far.
You’re describing partially self-driving, not full self-driving.
