Well, on my 3070 RTX, actual framerates are great — 1440p with all the raytracing and no upscaling results in around 90-110fps. So the performance seems to be fine... except for the micro-stutter. It’s damn confounding.

Asking a non-ray tracing card to ray trace shouldn’t have any impact at all. It’s not like your card can just decide to give it a try regardless!

I want to follow-up and say that I’m still playing the game, and having a lot of fun. It’s just not as silky-smooth like DOOM Eternal... or really any game that properly supports g-sync/freesync.
