And The Great, a follow-up by The Favourite screenwriter Tony McNamara focused on the early life of Catherine the Great, looks like it should be just as funny, challenging, and thoughtfully critical of the intersection of gender and power as The Favourite.

For crying out loud could they PLEASE just make a Splinter Cell game instead of dragging Sam Fisher’s corpse out every time they want to market one of their Ghost Recon games?

It truly made men of boys.

I see they’re still railing on Xen’s platforming. I always felt that the criticism of the later levels was overblown. Granted, I was coming into it after playing Turok a year earlier, which has plenty of its own FPS platforming, and on a cumbersome N64 controller no less. So in a sense, I already had a warm-up for Xen.

Seems like he made the mistake of answering a question where the only acceptable answer would’ve been “Because I’m a piece of shit.”

This is why we can’t have nice things

We have to focus on beating Trump in November. But even in victory, we’ll always think: we could’ve done even better than that. Elizabeth Warren was the right person for the job. And now we have to settle for one of two doddering men.

I assume name recognition is the main reason.

And a whole new cast, completely separate and entirely disconnected from everything in Mass Effect 1,2, or 3.

Its probably called baldurs gate because it’s the third mainline DnD crpg to take place in baldurs gate where as things like Dark alliance did not?

Why’d they call it Mass Effect 3?

As a cynic, yes, I imagine it’s more for brand recognition. Ironically, I’d say that calling it”Dungeons & Dragons” would have more draw nowadays beyond just BG fans.

That’s a weird flex - like saying 5e is not dungeons and dragons because it is AD&D...

    Because it’s a new Baldur’s Gate game?

Is he doing that or are you speculating that he is?

I’ve seen quite a few complaints on the reveal that it’s not just BG1+2 with better graphics, but honestly, I don’t think it should be.

I think the vast majority of so-called errors he makes are minor issues that are consistently blown up to infinity in the media. I mean, he had a barely nuanced opinion of Castro. Basically “he sucks but he did one good thing while he sucked” and all of a sudden it’s worthy of a debate question.

I really don’t understand why his most fervent supporters get so riled up when someone points them out.

I know certain Bernie supporters will attack me for saying this, but I do wonder how electable he is in the general.
