Making it 16:9 would be pointless. The INDIVIDUAL human eye doesn't see like that. There would be a separate display per eye. Each single eye wouldn't need a 16:9.

You sorta lost me when you said hook it into a computer.... you haven't had to do that since iOS 5 rolled out, and they come in the box with it, so that step is only relevant if you want to transfer songs and videos, but you can download any of your iTunes purchases again any time over wifi.

In fairness it was a pretty ambitious release that they wanted to line up with a hardware launch. It was bound to be buggy. I could give a crap about the battery life but I want them to re-optimize the performance, the interface seems to have much longer loading and execution times now.
