That’s the life of non economical car folks. I too drive a 40+mpg diesel car, and I just got an old honda insight that has a 10 gallon tank, but still goes about the same distance as the 14.5g tank in the TDI thanks to the 50+mpg. So right now, no car in my fleet goes less than 500 miles on a tank. It’s nice.

In that case, go to VW today!

I wouldn’t say it’s too soft, it’s just designed more towards being comfortable, so you’ll experience more body roll and will need to be more aware of your driving style to not upset the suspension.

So long as you drive smoothly, it’l be a blast.

When was the last time you actually had your knife sharpened? Fat Matt says a sharp knife is key to not crying when you cut onions.

2000-2006 5 speed Honda Insight.
Arguably the most fuel efficient car you can drive, with a scrawny 3cyl that puts out a fair amount of power all things considered, and a hybrid drive that’s essentially the input shaft.

Full battery assist honestly feels like a turbo reaching boost. Granted, it’s not a fast car, but

It’s definitely built for comfort over enthusiastic driving. They’ve got a really great road feel to them, but they’re considerably less sprung than the golf. The golf would be the ideal VW for compromised efficiency plus enjoyment.

Disclosure, I have put 115k miles on my golf TDI, and I love it. 40mpg all day long,

I think a lot of it has to do with weight and storage. You don’t want heavy (quality) things weighing down the plane/RV, and you need all the storage you can get. So unerseats are boxes, everything is hinged to reveal a space to put something.

9mm isn’t really a drastic change.

You could argue that so long as you’re maintaining the original sidewall profile, you’re not changing much of anything.

Going from a 225/45/17 to a 245/45/17 with better compound will make it behave much better with no real decrease in performance aside from added friction and larger rotational mass. (which could be

I don’t know if this counts, but I feel like the BMW z8 never got any attention, partly because of its hefty price tag, and also probably because it was hard to tell it from a z3 apart. It was “cute”, but it was a pretty solid roadster.

You do realize that sometimes parts fail right? Your fuel system failed. Mine hasn’t had a hiccup in the 110,000 miles i’ve driven it.

Of the hundreds of thousands of VW diesel cars running around today, you’d think more than a few hundred or even a few thousand would be having this same issue if it were an actual

I had to stop seeing a girl because she said her Altima reminded her of her old porsche and bmw... I just couldn’t.

You do realize that the high pressure pump is on the engine block... right? The in tank pump is a normal sized pump to just bring fuel up to the HPFP...

I don’t think you realized that....

I was thinking more along the lines of installed in the vehicle... like a manual release, or secondary chute, or anything..

You’d think the only thing that slows those down considerably would have a fail safe...

Thanks for this. I’ve been waiting to buy a circulator/heater and saving 30 bucks is awesome! Delivery in time for Valentines day too!

Or maybe, it was just some normal person who’s laptop battery exploded.

BECAUSE A NEW CAR DOESN’T HAVE ALL THEM COOTIES IN IT DUH

But it’s still a nicer car than say, an accord.

You could say the same thing for VW vs its competitors (subaru maybe?). I’ve got a stellar interior in my mk6 golf tdi at 27k. Beat the hell out of any interior in a comparable car. I think the only thing that comes close currently (that i’ve sat in) is the brz/frs.

Which just goes to show that you CAN get a great
