I understand that there’s a quality/fitment reason and materials reasons for buying an expensive helmet, but is this almost 900 dollar helmet any safer than a $120 one that meets the same standards?

You wont have the ergo and materials that went into the expensive helmet in the cheap one, but does it do the same job…

If you go to the Portland Airport, take your ticket with you, because you have to pay at a ticket kiosk before you can leave, and they don’t just do it on the exit. They’re in the airport and near the elevators in the garages.

As a person on vacation, I’ll probably have... 7-8 drinks throughout the day. and at $10-15 per drink - assuming cruises gouge even more than normal places, that $55 saves you 40-100…

I’m dealing with the same issue, moving from Birmingham to Portland. The cost to haul outweighs any cost to keep, so i’m selling them in town or near town before I leave. You can always buy another car when you get to your final destination.

I feel like, aside from the ones that actually have water in them (how often does that even happen?) these guys should be driving through the rocky desert on some sort of semi-slick r-comp type tire so they can actually have grip on the flat dry rock.

Safety first bubs. Everyone likes to race cars and have a good time, but safety of participants and spectators is paramount. Hearing loss is no joke, and at 100+dB over a weekend of racing, you’ve permanently lost a good piece of your hearing.

I like to use masking tape or painters tape on each end of a connector/hose, and draw with a sharpie some sort of shape that makes sense when the tape meets. III matches III or >< makes an X, etc. I heard of using nail polish to mark things, but I don’t have that laying…

I bought a $50 scooter that the original owner said just had holes in the fuel tank. Fixed that, and it still wont start. It’s got spark, it’s got compression, it just can’t fuel. Cleaned the carb, attempted to adjust it, no luck. Next up is to swap the fuel lines.

It’s a piece of plastic, the center of gravity is the kids body, and it’s base is wide enough to not gaf.

They all seem to have restricted speeds when towing, and I’d be willing to bet they are strictly enforced too.

The simple way to fix that is to black flag anyone who runs wide, or hit them with a massive time penalty for crossing the white line and putting 2 off.

There’s also considerably lower speed limits, so it’s a lot easier to drive 50mph with your trailer in traffic, instead of trying to drive 70, or driving slow and being a wreck waiting to happen.
