Let’s be sure to heap the appropriate scorn on the restaurant owner here. He put that as a line item to make people angry that they have to pay for other people’s Obamacare.

The only surprising thing here is that Rovell didn’t follow this up with a “life pro-tip” about how you can save money by basing your tip off the pre-tax total instead of post-tax. At which point we probably would find out he tips 10% anyway because anything higher is reserved only for “superior” service in his eyes.

I refuse to read that chain and I don’t post on Twitter, but has anybody pointed out that similar to his examples, whatever he’s paid by ESPN is definitely many times too much?

I have a friend who’s a federal special agent who calls everyone “Hoss”—probably even his own mom. It comes off as respectful to friends and colleagues, yet I’m certain it relaxes and disarms people he’s about to question. It’s friggin’ awesome.

I really dislike being called “boss” by people who I do not supervise. It feels passive-aggressive. 

To greet my friends I usually us “Homie” or “Holmes”. A little old school 90's greeting is good I think anyway.  Then again maybe I’m a dork.
