Disagree. I think it looks sleek, timeless, and notably without all the fuss and lines for lines sake of the toyota, hyundai, or kia lineup these days. 30 years from now they wont look a day old. They knocked the design outta the park IMO. Where they effed up is they killed the V6, and now the 2.0t.

Also news flash,

I wish i had a little audible beep.  my 23 Defender 130 will sound this horn that isn’t the same as the horn when pressing the steering wheel.  The lock sound sounds like a Herbie the love bug.  I have no idea why they chose to do this. I understand in europe they do offer a audible ‘tone’.  Or at least I know I’ve

Despite the fact that I’m probably going to have to light my wallet on fire once its outta warranty at the end of the extended period 7yr/100k... I absolutely love my 2023 Defender 130. Its like the perfect family vehicle for us. There is one thing that I thought I could live with but in reality it sucks... And that

This and the Lucid Gravity are now the best looking ‘smaller’ EV SUvs int he segment. I know tesla still has the edge in price and charging network, and those are not small factors. But god the Y is so effing hideous (and the X for that matter) compared to these two.

I know its a visual trick... but thank god this

Pretty much every Infiniti currently in production, and their Nissan counterparts. QX80/Armada, Maxima, others.

Mind you I don’t want some of these to die. But, either put out a competitive COMPLETE replacement, or just let them die already.

I always question these types of concerns. I welcome targeted marketing. I’m going to be marketed to one way or another. Why is it so bad that it appeals to me directly rather than showing me tampon commercials?

Of course I do get the downsides/scary side of it. But thats the problem with such broad brushes. Positive

Bingo. My prediction is the seqouia swapped places with the LC. The LC swapped places with the 4runner. And the 4runner is about to be brought back in the same spot as the FJ cruiser. That is smaller, but this time with removable roof/doors.

Lots of chatter about this being the direction they’re going... but nothing

Direct sales need to happen ASAP. The dealership song and dance is antiquated and I can’t imagine it being best for anyone at the end of the day with the amount of time spent/wasted.

But I’m with them on the EV mandates. Its BS and I hope someone with some sense pulls the reigns on the crap sooner rather than later.

Nothing to add here.

Kia Soul is the perfect choice.
Followed by Corolla.

I question how much the reliability press hurt them. I was in love with the Aviator. Still think its gorgeous. And plenty powerful. But, that first year was a dumpster fire for it and the Explorer ST. The whole roll out has seared the thought into my brain that I can’t buy one without signing up for years of issues.

not true.

All I’ll say is that if this was remotely close to me I’d be on my way to picking it up right now.  Shipping would cost me 1/3  the sales price I’m sure so I’m out.

They had 15 years to redsign this thing and get it right. It will be used by 99.9999% of buyers out there for family duty. And the best they could come up with is a mandatory Hybrid system where the batteries and live rear axle eats into the floor effectively making the 3rd row useless for anyone but kids. With the

Sequoia is Hybrid only. Which means batteries have to go somewhere. LX600 and GX isn’t. I’m willing to bet that this is where the batteries sit. (under 3rd row).

I agree with everything you said. And, am grateful it exists.

Acura has done SHAWD with a 6mt in the 4th gen TL before.  Totally different car/engine, etc.   Just saying its not unprecedented to see SHAWD and an Manual together.

AGREED

The older generation that it will resonate with, are finally at the age where a coupe is an option

Long ways away.  More than likely full EV. Another likely unprofitable investment of massive amounts of R/D while us peons are still out here begging for an affordable Sporty compact of some sort. 3 door Integra, Prelude, S2000. Something.

Well its about to be replaced by the Integra as you said.  There is no ILX replacement planned as of right now as far as I can tell.  So yea I guess you’re right its a goner.  But sort of expected.
