What I imagine the people behind BradyGames are doing by making this:
This could be the Mario Kart themed Bumper Cars. Simple oval track and lots of opportunity for collision and hijinks. And when the ride’s running, this playing on the speakers:
From what I remember from a previous Nintendo Direct, the creative directors behind Splatoon are disciples of Shigeru Miyamoto. They are the students who have learned under the master to carry on the tradition for future generations, and this is their first major work.
Totally agreed. See my other post for more thoughts on that, but clearly Nintendo has seen what other games like Halo: Master Chief Collection and SimCity have gone through and want to make sure that doesn’t happen to them. Here’s hoping other game devs and publishers take note!
This is actually a VERY good idea! It’s part demo, and part stress test! If memory serves me right, just a few months ago, we were talking about how Halo: The Master Chief Collection, a game whose online multiplayer was a core component of the game itself, was very... VERY broken.
Now THIS right here is Digital Distribution being done RIGHT!
Dammit Jon! That’s one more reason for me to be envious of you!
Like hell they can!
THERE WAS AN ENTIRE EPISODE ABOUT THIS ON THE SIMPSONS BACK IN 1991!!!
Do they got David Wise, composer of the Donkey Kong Country games and long time composer for games from Rare ever since the days of the NES?!?!
My friend who’s a big Mewtwo fan was very excited when she heard about him coming back.
Now I agree with you on all that save for this one thing here:
He was able to donate $250,000 to St. Jude’s Children Hospital thanks to his success, and before FNAF...
Took me a while to find a good gif and response that goes with it.
Aaand... I just now realized I actually answered your question 2 years ago back when this was fresh and just now realized I just answered it again... albeit with some new info that I’ve gleamed in the years since. (I think)
I may have come up with, and even written, the answer to your question somewhere else in another comment on another post somewhere on this website, but since this article has since been revived almost two years later, I’m happy to say that I do have an answer to that.
Phew... For a minute there, I thought I was the only one that was thinking that.
Ah, I just remembered another great one. It isn’t mine, but I remember it from an old EGM letters column. Somebody wrote in to say that they had hooked up their Xbox mic to their stereo so they could play music over voice chat in Halo 2. They would play the entire match with the Vengaboys’ “We Like to Party” playing…
