Well there was a rough treatment idea that was presented at the end of the 3rd Damsels in Distress video. It actually got some very good praise. It was an example that was used to show how the Damsels in Distress trope could be subverted and have a good game made out of it.

No... no Jack Thompson actively set out and even stated that he was actively trying to push people's buttons. He made no apologies, no concessions, and even after being disbarred, he still held onto his firm beliefs that he was right and everyone else was wrong.

You are right that forcing it won't do any good. Mandating that games need to change in some way versus another wouldn't do anyone any favors.
