It's a Catch-22. No games are made because game makers might claim that there's not a market for said game. But the reason that said market for said game isn't there is because no games for it are made.

This is indeed a most puzzling mystery. It's possible that this could go on for a while and could become a much deeper story.

I used to watch Ultraman: Towards the Future (known as "Ultraman Great" in Japan) every Saturday morning when I was a kid. I'd wake up at like 6:00 AM, and await the Saturday morning cartoons to start with my bowl of cereal. Ultraman came on at either 7:00 AM or 7:30 AM (I forget when exactly), and the reason I

The problem it seems to me is that Deadpool works best when he becomes the oddball, comic relief that's quite awesome in a situation that's played completely straight. Like when everyone else around him is being super serious about some serious threat or danger, and he's all, "eh! Whatever! Not like anyone who dies

Very funny Jon. :P You should probably do some gaming themed comic strips while working on that animated project of yours. Which I hope is coming along nicely. :)

Contacts are primarily with other developers and maybe some other geek-types, but that doesn't mean they are going to help bank roll a game. They won't have that money. And other publishers aren't going to shell out money for it either.

The thing is that someone else is ALWAYS going to pay for his game; no matter what. Whether that someone is a publisher, a venture capitalist, an angel investor, or the public, someone is paying for them to be able to make their game. Developers rarely ever get the kind of money that people like Notch get. He's a

You might as well get used to it. Of 2,500 developers that went to last year's GDC and will be attending this year's GDC, 44% said that they plan to use crowd-funding to make their games. Of that same number of developers, only 8% said that they already HAVE done crowd-funding for a game.

He grows up and evolves into a VilePlume with Adult Link. His name is "Deku". The Eevee evolves into Vaporeon and is named "Ruto". The Ponyta will later become Rapidash and is named "Epona". This is all according to Finni over on her Tumblr who's working on new pieces to the series for Adult Link... and Tingle.

These numbers say otherwise.

Oh Good GRIEF Kotaku Commentators!

That may be the meme's intention and subsequent examples of the meme have taken that approach, but they're missing something in translation.

I am SO glad that I wasn't the only person to think of "Card Crusher" as soon as I saw the title to this article.

They went through a publisher, Autumn Leaves, and for reasons I don't full understand, getting funding from Autumn Leaves is a no go. (I heard something about a lawsuit... I need to research this specific situation in more detail).

"why are you paying for their salaries"?

So 1) you don't care about the topic enough to prove your point and 2) you don't care that people are talking about it on Twitter.

True, but isn't that what they're doing with this breakdown of costs?

Don't forget that IndieGoGo also offers partial campaigns whereas Kickstarter is all about the "All or Nothing" model.

For crying out loud people, this is an IndieGogo campaign that hasn't launched yet.
