I know they weren't just random developers snot for brains! But in the future, Sony needs to make a point of having more women as heads of departments and creators. If they were going to have something from Naughty Dog there, I would have wanted Amy Hennig up there front and center presenting either a new game from

And what about his occasional partner in crime Linkara? Hmm?

The fact that you aren't willing to sacrifice yourself to make women feel more comfortable in society means you are SELFISH!

And what makes you think that I think that?

That would be something I'd like to hear too. And it's really difficult to have constructive feedback here when it's far too easy to get lumped in with the bigoted morons. Trying to have a call for better reporting in this thread or any thread like this will go absolutely nowhere and fast. It will be too easy to

Kellee Santiago who worked for ThatGameCompany and on the hit title Journey says she knew plenty of qualified women that could have been up on stage. They could have done it and it would not have been "for the sake of having a woman up there even though she had nothing to do with the game's development or production".

They already do! It's called equal opportunity employment and is mandated by law you dope!

You think I'm cute?! Aww gee, I'm flattered and all, but I'm a married ma...

Welcome to Kotaku! :D

Except clearly they did. Otherwise, these tweets wouldn't exist.

Your capability hasn't mattered WAY before all this. It officially ended when the economy crashed circa 2005-2007. It's now not what you know or how capable you are, but WHO you know and networking.

Maybe, but Kelley Santiago says otherwise in the follow up article. There were women capable of presenting and they either were not asked, or were not permitted to present. (Probably not asked would be more likely).

Don't let the door hit you on the way out! And also, Totilo actually did respond to that and guess what? SHE'S HERE TO STAY! Totilo has spoken!

If there are still so few out there, then there needs to be more.

This was expanded on in the follow up article, but I understand your point and I do agree with it. I do not fully believe that Sony was trying to be inherently sexist. But I did see their press conference as a sort of a symptom of the bigger problem. That problem is that more women who work in video games need to

You're welcome! :)
