Hah! That’s Hubris, to think that a life sentence has anything to do with retribution in his case. More like we can’t undo his damage, but he sure as hell can get more people killed running around free in society as a racist mental deficient.

Keep building that straw man. Obviously small businesses fail. This one in particular is being presented as having a long history and in no immediate danger of unprofitability. But essentially, yes, your job as owner or manager is to balance those thirds (payroll, non-payroll overhead & supply, and profit) to get them…
If the breakdown given is specifically adjusted for a cheese pizza only, and not being used as an abstract equivalent for all sales... then it’s completely meaningless. You might as well claim that the $16 pizza costs $15.99 and woe is me isn’t life as a business owner tough!
By my math - using the labor cost as a fraction of Illinois’ $8.25 minimum wage to estimate how many pizza-equivalent sales you get in an hour, and a 12 hour day - that Overhead fraction comes out to over $10,400 per month. Of course the higher throughput meaning that Overhead fraction gets multiplied by more sales…
You don’t have to be unfunny for that joke to fall flat. Nobody knocks them all out of the park.
But I was told that every bad thing that ever happened in America was somehow a Clinton’s or Obama’s fault? Maybe Jimmy Carter if you go back far enough?
When you drunkenly park your car in your neighbor’s living room, you don’t get to take credit for not killing anyone ‘cause it was 2 am, or for removing the car the next day. Hell, you probably shouldn’t brag about being such a nice person that you paid for the wall repair... or a tiny fraction of it, in this case.
It sure feels like there’s a correlation between the sort of ex-military folks with actual empathy and capacity for remorse and humanity being the ones with PTSD and other mental health issues washing them out of police academies. The sociopaths, on the other hand...
Dude basically got SWAT-ed, from the sound of it. Had a disagreement with someone and they called “OH, THE EVIL BLACK MAN ROBBED US!” hoping he’d get shot or something.
Maybe not everything is their fault, but the GOP has been the driving force for oppression, bigotry, economic neo-feudalism, and a return to barbarity and the unopposed oligarchy of old, rich, white men for the past 70 years. At no point does that mean you can just walk up and snatch their stuff, though. And Trump’s…
Don’t you know that being a member of an oppressed minority or class automatically absolves you from having to speak or behave with any manners or common decency? ‘Cause that helps convince die-hard bigots that you’re a human being like them, and somehow worth basic human dignity when they aren’t inclined to give it…
They used to throw the damned sea-bugs away, grind them up and feed them to servants and the condemned. Then some proto-foodie decided they were a delicacy, and now they cost $20+ per pound. It makes me sick.
Goddamnit. This is the last time I’m doing your job for you, Gawkmodo “writers”:
It’s a bad bet. Nobody has ever succeeded at impeaching a president. Doing it and failing makes Democrats much more likely to lose in 2020 than if they don’t do it at all. I hate that this is true, but it is.
It’s called “Shitty Republican pro-capitalist, anti-consumer, anti-regulation legislation gets you the Worst of Both Worlds in the classical sense”. We get to have BOTH snake-oil and overpriced, dangerous, legitimate drugs.
I find it interesing that caffeinated drinks are the same way, at least in terms of the caffeine dose varying like that. It can’t be coincidence. Ground coffee and chocolate are pretty consistent but soda and others are all over the place? And now e-cig liquid, too?
You can always ratchet down the nicotine by buying one strength lower every time you reorder or refill. Several of my friends have done that with success. Well, success in that they now use the lowest-nicotine oil they can find. I don’t think any of them have stopped completely, unfortunately.
Does the type matter? Red, white, yellow, and Vidalia are all very distinct in terms of taste.
Too many old, slimy, half-rotten, over- or under-ripe, cheap-ass slices on sandwiches and in salads may be the driving force. I couldn’t stand tomato on a sandwich or in a salad until I finally had a decent enough experience with high-quality fruit that I realized I’d been getting cheap garbage all along.
Counterpoint: onions are sulfurous, poisonous, stinky and only food by the technicality of being edible.
