Yes, I’m well aware of the fact that over the years white Southerners have taken many, many, many things from black people. Labor. Life. Freedom. Even recipes.

I just can’t believe it took this long. This post has been up for multiple minutes.
Your comment is exactly what I’m talking about. This is literally not the story but fuck what was written, let’s make the white people the victims.
I feel like watching the original parent trap #letsgettogether
It’s like she didn’t even catch on.
I get why she’s upset. It’s not necessarily the references, but the general dismissiveness. Wiz Khalifa’s baby mama? Word? They were married. Hell, they still ARE married. Like, if nothing else, just focus on her being the baddest bald bitch in the game. The rest of the shit just looks reductive as fuck.
I’v fucking had it with these magazines and media oulets referring to black and latina women as “so and so’s baby mama” - it’s racist af! They don’t refer to Nichole Kidman as Tom’s Cruise’s “baby mama” or any white woman who has a child with any white man of any level of fame.
The use of the ‘gaslighting’ term here is weird to me idk. If they’re both sampling another person’s sound (they’re not the same sample, if this is any indication), and D.R.A.M’s came out much earlier and faded from the charts, and Drake has admitted that he gets inspired for work, and his did better... I don’t know.…
And when we’re talking about the wage gap in general, white women also outpace black and Latino men.
Don’t forget.. this gap being talked about by Jennifer and her pals.. is the white woman gap. White women are at the very tippy top of the crappy wage gap.. but they are at the TOP. Black women, Hispanic, Asian.. not even in the ball park. I just wish that vocal group would mention that as well.
Graham Norton is essentially the best thing that’s ever happened to celebrity interviews.
The most frustrating thing when I was single was trying to date as a Black atheist. It is hard, though not impossible, to find agnostic or atheist or even non-deity-believing Buddhists among my targeted group of men, Black and Hispanic men born sometime in the 70s. The worst was the guy who put that his religion was…
If something is important to you and you need the people you date to understand it, doesn’t it make sense to be up front and hope it’s important to them, too?
I’d very much care if they fucked this classic from Blaque. But I’d also pay a lot of money to see them cover “Never Had A Dream Come True” by S Club 7.
This what I don’t get about Apple as a name. My daughter has a flower name. It’s not Larkspur or Hydrangea— it’s a name associated with old ladies and therefore a “classic.” Naming a girl Daisy, Poppy, Violet, Lily or Rose isn’t any better than naming her Apple, Mango, Tomato or Raspberry.
Denise should’ve stayed at Hillman and never married her father!
