1.) if you dis Detroit too long and too often, Detroit will find you and GETCHU. This is true. When I'm not at home there's always some asshole who has something to say about Detroit. There is a serious probability that they've never been there, but alas, people need the superiority kick.

Damn it, thank you for this. "Bitch ass, you know we got beef, so let's eat."

Netflix does that ridiculously tenuous connection thing with movies with black people. After I watched a "based on a true story" gangster drug flick it said "movies like . . ." and listed "For Colored Girls", "Coming to America" . . . . How are these movies similar besides having black people?

Larenz Tate will be loved for eternity for that role. The Yemaya/Oshun part always stands out to me. Is that all right?

Meh, any excuse to watch Neil Patrick Harris. I like Barney and Robin.

I teach 2nd grade at a very small school; I have less than 15 students. I haven't been crying, but I have been thinking and trying to figure out how I would save my students from something like this happening. As a teacher, this has been one of my biggest fears.

If that wasn't enough, when I was 5 I went to the store with my mom and 15 year old brother. He saw that I really wanted a paint easel and

This just makes me more sad that I don't work in publishing. Ugh!

I came here just to see if Joanna was going to be mentioned. That is all.

It's gotten to the point that whenever I see someone black I call their death within the first few seconds of them being onscreen. The CW isn't very good with black people anyway, so . . .

That website is hilarious; I already have everything wrong. Some of those people are exact copies of each other.

Though I don't imagine that was her aim in the slightest.

Oh, Wesley Snipes.

William Daniels (Mr. Feeny) finished his run on Grey's Anatomy 2 weeks ago. He died in the middle of a surgery with Yang. I was not pleased.

1.) There is nothing about Kelly Rowland that I don't like. Ugh, I love her.

He is younger than me, but you just introduced me to my future husband. He's like the Naija version of Mehcad Brooks.

No, it is not.
