Agreed. I always felt biased for Dean because (if you were a Potter nerd) you knew his story, but knew it wasn't going to be told to the larger demographic. It was removed and shoved into the last book as a quick explanation/guess when Dean was on the run.

I agree with you that it is a complicated and complex issue, which I believe becomes more complex (and confusing) when we deal with something like "Latin-ness" because it's a cultural/ethnic identifier instead of a "racial" one.
